I am scheduled for tomorrow morning for my 08 Bullitt. I will post about the experience.on the books for driver's side airbag replacement on Tuesday. Said they could need it up to half a day depending on how busy the shop is.
Just heard that as of today, 6/1/16, Ford is recalling 1.9 million more cars for passenger side airbag inflators. '05-11 Mustangs are included. Here we go again!!

I finally got my letter in the mail from Ford yesterday. AFAIK, this was the first letter Ford sent me about the recall. Like someone else mentioned, the letter confirmed that the driver's side airbags for the '13-'14 Mustangs will not be available until the fourth quarter of this year (July). My car is a '13, my wife's is a '14.
Now the passenger side, too?
All those cars sitting outside for years. Can't be good on the finish. What a shame.
I scheduled my appointment with City Ford, in Columbia City, IN. I was careful to make sure City understood what needed done, which they verified with a VIN check. Long story short, I made the twenty minute drive to City only to be told that the person I talked to on the phone was new and that the parts were not in.I am scheduled for tomorrow morning for my 08 Bullitt. I will post about the experience.

Airbag recall service done today. Took them about 30min to get it done, but he wasn't exactly happy about me waiting it seemed. Made some remark about how if I left it for the day, they can get more of them done ....
As soon as the intake guy parked my car, the service tech drove it right into the bay.
Except for the, "not much clearance for our lifts on your car, haha" comment, (my car's pretty damn low) it was overall painless and quick in and out.

No need for a lift
Fucking dealers always act like dropping it off for a 10 minute repair is no big deal. Some of us aren't capable of driving two vehicles at a time and it's not like their dealership is within walking distance of my house. But we are inconveniencing them by waiting.
