Not sure how many guys out there use leaf blowers to dry their cars but I just tried my little electric one layin around the garage and it kinda sucked. If anyone with any experience would like to comment on what they use, electric vs gas, wind speeds, amps, etc. I would preferably like to stay electric and not break the bank. Thanks.

Just get one at Sears. Get the one with the highest MPH.

IIRC, the electric models generally have a higher windspeed than the gas.

I got a toro electric leaf blower at a garage sale for 20 bucks....Works awesome... Blow out all the cracks and crevasses (sp?), then I use a towel to dry off the left over water.

i have no idea what kind of wind speed the blower i tried was but i saw an electric toro online with a 250mph wind speed for 80 bucks. 250 mph seems like it would get the job done...

Just depends. Some gas blowers put out a lot of oil mist and it will coat the vehicle. Some get lucky and don't have that problem.

Is there anyway to tell if mine will be okay to use on my car? Watching people use blowers on the car makes me smack myself in the head running around the car with towels haha.

Just try it and see if it does or not.

Thanks.
Hmmmm .... I see for $20 more I can go from the 160mph model to the 230mph model. Hmmmm ....

Spring for the 230 mph model.

1st pass: Blow dry off as much water as you can with just the blower starting from the top down and front to back.
2nd pass: Do it again , this time follow around while blow drying and using a micro fiber towel.
NOTE: Micro fiber towels absorb more WET then dry. Wet it once and squeeze it dry. Then use.
3rd pass: Open doors, trunk and hood.
Blow dry all the hidden spots that drip later. Mirrors, tail lights, emblems, scopes etc.
