BigRis Build thread **Dyno Numbers Up post 86**

Well since 95% of the parts are here or in the hands of UPS it is time to get the ball rolling. The plan is to take the car down to Brenspeed in Febuary to have everything installed ,tuned and Dynoed. I will list all of my parts that will be going on the car.
I will try to get some pictures of the parts when I get the Christmas stuff put away and I can get to the boxes. I am posting this now in case I get any useful suggestions before the car and parts are delivered to Brent.
Roush TVS2300 560R
D.R. S/C Cams
Pypes LT headers
Pypes O/R H-pipe
Pypes H/F met. cats
Fluidyne Radiator
Steeda Batt relo. kit
BMR tube rad. sup. sway delete
Whiteline adj rear swaybar
SOS pod with A/F and Boost gauge

These mods will be installed and some current mods will stay and some will be removed and sold (Steeda UDP,JLT CAI ,Eibach Swaybars) if not needed. I also have a set of AMR 18x9 and 18x10 wheels with NITT0 255/45/18s and M&H 275/45/18 DRs going on soon.
I think that is everything for now, besides some window tint and a detailing. O yeah, I have new Hawk brake pads and SS lines ready to go. I just need to decide on rotors.

Nice build man. It'll be a long January waiting to install that TVS. I never let my parts sit for longer than the next weekend. Couldn't wait. Good luck and enjoy!!!

If it was not for my back i would be unbolting things as we speak. Plus i have my TVS going to a very safe undisclosed location.

She does not drive it now. One day after driving her dog Cobalt all day she jumped in the GT to run to the store. I think she forgot and rocketed herself out of the parking lot and into traffic.

Should be nasty when it's done, congrats!
My only suggestion is that I would avoid running cats if possible.

I do have concerns with cats. But I am going to run the high flow matalic ones. I am just concerened about drone. I plan on running the stock mufflers also for now to see how it does. I have read a bunch about the issue with the cats. I am hoping with a proper tune ,a dyno check and keeping an eye on the A/F that I will be ok.

I've seen more blown/clogged aftermarket cats than factory cats, just sayin'. I was at Justin's shop (VMP) when he pulled the motor on his wife's Mustang due to the aftermarket cats plugging up and blowing the motor. The factory cats are more durable but also more restrictive. Either keep the stock cats or ditch them altogether IMO.

Well I had the HF ceramic cats I bought for NA than when I was looking SC I sold them and bought mettalic cats.
I am running (will be) Pypes LTs and Pypes offroad H. I would like MAC axle backs but was going to keep the stock mufflers for now. My concern is Drone with having a seven year old rear passenger. I was told the cats would eliminate the drone and strong exhaust smell alot of guys get with headers.
I do not pretend to know a whole lot about this. I am just going off others opinions. So can I have some advice on what set up I should run??? If I do not need the Cats they are Brand new high flow mettalic Pypes cats i would sell them. I am just very concerned about drone and exhaust smell. Help please!!

I had horrible drone with the Borla stingers, switched to King of the Roads, they sounded good until I swapped heads/cams, went to GT 500 mufflers and finally found happiness in the Borla touring.

Seems the automatics have worse droan than the stocks and as long as you are not using Stingers or that type of muffler you should be ok but you may have to wait until everything is on and see how it sounds before finding a muffler that you like and does not droan unless you can find someone who has the exact same setup as you do and they have clips or experienced them.

As far as the fuel smell and a 7 year old...how often will the 7 year old be riding with you? There is a fuel smell esp when you are sitting at a stop light or sign depending on which way the wind is blowing but as soon as you start moving it is gone.

Ryan or 07tggt I think is his username (gotta have it green 5.0) has jegs cat deletes and has a 4 year old. He went from NY to Texas with his son and I don't think he was miserable bc of smell just the drone did get to him further into the trip. But if your not taking cross country rides with your son than I think you should be ok with the kid/deletes combo.
Like mentioned before when sitting still you get whiffs of fuel but once you start moving its unnoticeable.
