hey everyone a buddy of mine just got a boost brothers turbo kit. It came with no instructions! 67mm turbo and all the hotside is stainless with really nice looking welds. But i have the slightest clue where we should start. Does anyone know of a install or maybe instructions for a similar kit??

Hopefully their headers aren't an indication of how their turbo kits fit.
It looks like they copied turbonetics on the kit so I would start there.

If they are still using the same cheap turbos that they used to, they have been know to come apart. Its hard to have quality parts in a turbo kit when the whole kit costs what a decent turbo should cost.

He plans on switching to a better one eventually. Anyone know where to find a write up for a turbonetics kit?

Chinese Turbos and other components have come a long way in recent years. The only problem you still have with the wastegates is often times the springs are crap, but can be easily replaced with a Tial spring. BOV are still crap for the most part. Turbos have been proven to be just as good as Garrett turbos at a fraction of the cost, of course you dont get much for customer support.

Id like to see the manifold the kit comes with, thats what Id be really worried about, not the other stuff.

edit: also, the chinese feed lines are usually pretty shitty too.

All the parts in this kit are exactly the same as the turbonetics. Everything besides tur o wastegate and bov

Post pics of what you have. The WG is usually not what you need to worry about, especially if its one of the common Tial knockoffs.

Edit:
so wait, its litterally the same piping and everything? Like turnonetics makes it, they just supply chinese parts to go with it?
If thats the case itll probably be great, just replace the BOV and possibly some of the hardware/fittings/lines, if its needed.

Wrong!!! the wastegate is the most important piece. If you cheap on anything dont cheap out on the wategate!!! It controls your boost level, if it fails you can potentially blow your engine.

If a bov fails, its no big deal, they arent absolutely necessary anyway, they are just for turbo longevity by preventing compressor surge.

+1 post pics of what came with the kit.
