I've. Een working on this car for a while and I think I'm finally done collecting the parts I need to assemble the engine.

The goal here was to use all factory parts, as they would have come off the line, replicating an OEM build - TTY bolts and all :)

Here's the latest post on my blog about the Boss heads that just came in:

I'll update the thread this week as I go - as long as there's some interest :)

Guess I should say - going to include things like how to use a bore gauge, mic'ing pistons and such. Complete assembly of chains, tensioners and so on.

I was thinking it was more the engine than the car or I would have posted it long ago, as the car has been under construction for a lot longer than i would have liked :) :)

You can build the motor for any s197, obviously.

This forum has a bizarre definition of "tech".

Discussing tuning theory (BSFC, BMEP, dynos, fuel, MBT, etc) = Chit chat
Asking how to unbolt a seat = Tech

Wrong! Putting something together for a s197 or building something that others haven't done , or an issue with a mechanical part = Tech !

Seats and other "what about this" BS goes in Chit Chat along with non s197 builds. The OP has a nice thing going, but is not 4.6 s197 tech.

To the op, I look forward to seeing the build. Thanks.

Like I said - I only posted when it came time to assemble the engine. Tell ya what - ill post the details on the engine assembly and at some point, when you realize how much tech is in there, you can move it again :)

You're right.

It would be 5.0 tech...
