C&L Street Intake

For Sale is a C&L Street Intake that is in excellent shape. This was removed from my 05 Mustang GT after a S/C install. This has been painted Satin Silver with Clearcoat. The filter is in great shape as well. This intake has been drilled and tapped for nitrous and is being offered with a plug installed for use on N/A cars. Not pictured but included is the heat shield as well. The only thing needed for install is the bolt for the mounting bracket to the valve covers. This is probably something that can be picked up at a hardware stor for 50 cents.

Asking $160. This goes for $350+ brand new.

I think you use the bolt that's on the valve cover. You loosen the corner bolt and slip the bracket in place. I have this cai and didn't bother to use the valve cover bracket. It sits in place just fine and doesn't move or rattle. These are very high quality cai's and I'm very happy with mine. GLWS

and +1 on valve cover bolt and it is a very nice CAI .

a tune is definatly a must, i put a wideband in my car after installing mine and my offroad x and my car at idle was 14.3/1 area and under part throttle around the 15.5/1 range and full throttle it jumped to 19.7/1 dangerously lean. It was a good thing we were tuning the car as soon as i got to full throttle the tuner was screaming let off and yes i mean literally screaming.

this was before i bought the sct and tune from bbr, going to put the wideband back in next week and check the air/fuel with their tune.

I run this intake without a tune. I bought it used and since I didn't have a tuner, I bought a "no tune" insert for around $32 from C&L and they shipped it to me pretty quick. It gives my car a noticeable bump in power and gives it a neat waaaaa sound when you get on it, although I'm sure if I had a tuner it would be a lot more. It's an option for someone that doesn't have $600 for a cai/tuner package and worth the $192 you'd invest in this intake and "no tune" sleeve. Later on when you get more money you can buy a tuner.
