You may want to replace that axle bushing. Hard to tell for sure judging from that pic, but it looks like there is a tear developing.

Do they generally come out easily??
Where do I get another one, and what material? Delrin? Urethane?

No, from what I hear they are a total bitch to replace. You'll need to hole saw the old one out since you have to reuse the bushing sleeve. Replacing that bushing is the only thing I've paid someone else to do on my car. I did not want to mess with it, definitely not on the car.

It's most likely not torn. The stock bushing has reliefs in it that will appear like it's torn. However it's not that bad to change to the poly set up. Multiple passes with a drill bit a scraper and some emery cloth will take a few hours. Just drop the rear down by disconnecting the lower shock mounts, panhard bar and top link .

Like I said, i'm doing new shocks, springs, ph bar next weekend, so, when its all down, I'll swap it. I'm sure a little "heat persuasion" will help it slide right out.

Don't do a 1-2 piece design like that, if your sig pic is any indication of your style.

IF you do a poly diff bushing, you should get one like the BMR/Energy multipiece - multi-durometer. This will ensure you are not adding unwanted roll stiffness, ESPECIALLY if you keep that UCA in there. That UCA you have.....you should really be putting spherical bearing up there, instead of a poly or rubber piece - to be honest.

I recommend the Steeda diff bearing.

An air chisel will knock the bushing out in a couple minutes, And Steeda makes the spherical bearing to replace the rubber piece.

i've wasted enough time cutting, grinding, hammering and cursing those damn things then we got the Ford (Rotunda) special tool to swap out the diff carrier bushing.
now it's a 15 minute affair with hand tools

So does Steeda which unsurprisingly is exactly where UPR got the design for theirs from. I would put more faith in Steeda (which is saying A LOT) over anything UPR.

UCA is definitely BMR, and I would follow his advise for replacing that differential side bushing. Either the spherical from Steeda or the multipiece poly bushing that BMR sells. That axle needs to articulate and you aren't going to get it with a solid bushing design.
