Ridiculous how something so simple is driving me insane. I am trying to get this antenna adapter unstuck so that I can replace it, but the stupid thing won't budge. I've tried the wd40 trick along with some needle nose pliers and still a no go. Any takers on what to do?

Try some locking pliers or remove the black cap and replace the base as well. It's only like $20. The cap pops off, and there are 2 or 3 screws holding it down.

They are made really cheap. My 09 was completely corroded and rusted when I took it apart and that car lived in a garage its entire life.

Of course everywhere I look, all that they sell online is billet or chrome. All I want is a black antenna base!

Mine has been just a nub for years, I don't listen to the radio so it really doesn't matter.
But yea it rusted up and it's there forever. lol

I failed again, I tried drilling out the stripped screw, all the way down to the fender but still no luck. I'm hoping that someone can eventually get this out, even if it calls for replacing the base. For the time being, guess I'll use my ipod for listening to beats.

I will in the morning but its the exact same product in the tasca link from a few posts up. The stock antenna has an adapter already threaded to it, but there is nothing to adapt it to the new base. Same goes for the antenna I picked up from American Muscle.

Post some pics of what you have.
