centrifugal vs root

I have a question I really need answered I have a 2005 mustang gt and I'm trying to see which would make the most power for a stock block with stock 3.55 gears should I go with a rooted supercharger or a centi style someone please respond and should I upgrade my gears to 3.73 or 4.10 and what are some other upgrades could I do for more power with the supercharger

additionally, learn to use punctuation.


either style a "roots", not rooted -that's for plants, or a centri style can make more power then the stock block can handle.

Don't wasste your money adding power to your stock block. You're just gonna lose to a slow car anyway and blow your motor in the process.

Roush 2300, leave your gears and everything else alone, run 9-10 psi or so depending on what fuel you can get, you may need a fuel pump wire upgrade, have fun.

Another vote here for PD blower. For an "off the shelf kit" my choice is a Roush 2300 or Whipple 2.3. A less expensive option is a DOB kit that uses OEM ford parts.

Do you have a budget in mind as well as any specific shortterm/longterm power goals?

I'm guessing you're looking at a used Kit like an M90 or Vortech.

Do you want it to build power as you build up rpms, or do you want it to make boat loads of torque early and carry it over a large rpm window? If the answer is the latter, positive displacement is the way to go.

They newer blower are not "roots" blowers anymore. If you want to group all of them together call them Positive Displacement blowers. The category of Positive Displacement blowers is made up of Roots Improved (much better than roots) and Twin Screw blowers. And Roots Improved can technically be paired down to Roots Improved and TVS. Examples are:

Roots Improved TVS
-Roush TVS
-Edelebrack E-Force

Roots Improved
-2007-2012 GT500

Twin Screw
-Whipple
-Kenne Bell
