You can still run hot rods or for a blower specific cam the comp 127550 have some lope to them. They require springs and phaser limiters but you should change the springs for boost anyway.

AND WHY THE F$&@ is there no cam bearings!?!?! That's just sounds/looks stupid to me. Bad idea!
I don't think it is a good idea either, but I have seen it a lot.

Put some 550's in it. I regret not going that big right off the bat.

Look at how the stock exhaust manifold is polishing up after ceramic coating it

The Dakota turbo up pipe turned out great too!

just an fyi

make sure your engine builder checks rod side clearance. I've used several Kellogg cranks over the past few years and rod journals tend to run on the narrow side and reduce rod side clearance to less than desirable tolerances for any type of performance application

Were there more problems with the stroker? Nice catch btw.. did not even think of it. Just could not see past the prudy box

Damn I want a loopy cam like my charger in the mustang... But can't with boost :(

Right?

I run the Hot Rods w/ my DOB kit, and with stock internals and long tubes made 464 to the tire, repeatedly, on an 89 degree day... Might not be the 'ideal' combination, but I would not trade the hot rod lope for another 5-10hp(?) the 'right' cams would make...

not really a major gain in hp with your setup imo (for the money involved) and not really why I would do them on a setup like yours.. more for better power curve. the pd blowers are know for the big torque curve down low but (in some cases pretty damn unusable). Up top with vct locked (if you do that or limit vct) you need a cam that will eat up there with the blower. My guess is your power curve is a bit sluggish at 4500 rpm up even with the vct fully functional. Most would not know/care but if you drove one properly setup you instantly feel the difference

with the vct (limited) i think the 127350's would be much better all around cam with your setup but with it locked game changes. Have not tried the 550's yet with my vct locked and the adjustable crank gears but I am counting on a big improvement. buy once tho.. cheaper lol

I am soon taking my 127350's out and going with 127550's. Just other priorities atm. If you are interested in these cams (low miles) maybe I can yank them out this week and order the 550's before I tune again at the end of the month... I would make you a nice deal on the 127350's and loan you the freedom tools to do the springs/cams. Limiters would be optional with the 127350's but not the 127550's.

Motor is done. hope to put in next week. i cant do cams yet Crown. sorry but thanks.

and crown i post on the DOB forum and no one replied yet but i assume the 340 isnt gonna handle this new motor and 10% OD balancer? is 405 gonna do it? i dont believe i have to upgrade to a return system do i? and if i do go to a return system will the car still run? with the fuel pump controller bypassed?

thanks
