Motor is done. hope to put in next week. i cant do cams yet Crown. sorry but thanks.

and crown i post on the DOB forum and no one replied yet but i assume the 340 isnt gonna handle this new motor and 10% OD balancer? is 405 gonna do it? i dont believe i have to upgrade to a return system do i? and if i do go to a return system will the car still run? with the fuel pump controller bypassed?

thanks

How much power are you planning on being at? A stock 255 pump and bap is good for over 500rwhp with a supercharger. Do you have a bap for the 340?

Is there any reason to not put the 465 in? It's good for e85 if you ever decide to try it out.

Broke dafuk down

And a year later (after that blog)... I have read about a bunch of 405's failing pre-mature in E85. Something about the brushes were failing in E85 or sum shit not exactly sure... but why would they redesign the pump with no real "gain" in performance and charge more for it? I was told by people that mess with those pumps on a regular basis the re-design of the 405 to the "465" had to do with E85 and surving the corn

Just my .02 tho. Would be worth looking more into for sure. You never really know just from reading crap on the internet but I have read quite a few guys with 405 failures and E85.. maybe coincidence dunno..

After a long conversation with Justin at ForeInnovations I bought their hat with dual 465's and never looked back. This was last spring and so far I am pleased not only with the quality but the excellent service Justin and everyone at Fore provided. Good business and I do recommend them

Yes it was expensive, but so is that motor you just built

Looks good. I noticed that can of Coors was there when the engine hoist was hooked up & gone after the hoist was unhooked. Exactly what I would have done.
