Soooo.......should i go ahead and throw a shim in there? anyone put a shim in and had to pull it back out?

It's more about the measurements than the type of clutch. You want the TB to be in the middle of the stroke. Some don't need it but the release point ends up close to the floor.

If you are running a mcloed rxt/rst twin disk and a mcleod steel flyweel and a factory 05-09 slave then you will need one. I believe when you purchase a Mcleod flwheel clutch package it should come with a shim. :stooges:<Mcleod tech support:roflmao:

Fuck McLeod. They should include the shim and instructions with the kit. The first McLeod asshole I meet in person is getting his ass kicked.

Did he mean a shim behind the TOB or a shim between the inner disk and the floater?

I adgree. I don't understand why everyone on here speaks sweet nothings about Mcleod. I have had nothing but problems out of Mcleod. Beside the shifting issue bull shit with the rst 3650, lets not mention the chattering sound that would come from the POS at low rpms while cruising town.

My RST for the 3650 was flawless with a fidanza billet aluminum flywheel. Loved it.

Im wondering if i have the wrong part number somehow since it doesnt have it written on the fingers like usual we shall see when i send it back.

If this helps out anyone, my rxt had numbers on the fingers written with white paint, just like the rst did for the 3650

im curious as well with there being 2 different part numbers for the clutch

The different part numbers are because 1 is for use with their flywheel and the other is for use with factory flywheel

yeah, i only know this because others have said it here on the forum....nothing to indicate this when ordering though.....so whos to say they got the right one. if you go to lethals web site, they only list one part number, and it dosnt say anything about what flywheel to use....and its not the same part number im using....

6912 will not work with factory flywheel must have Mcleod wheel , The 6913 will work with the stock flywheel.
