Confused about GTA's, MAC's and JBA's....Need help

I have an 08 Racecraft GT Mustang and I'd like to just do an axle-back exhaust to make it sound better.
EDIT: SEE LAST POST for questions.

Here's a pic for the help!

1) Yes

2) You have a GT not a GT500, so you would get the ones for the GT. The FRPP part number is M-5230-5GT

Sweet. Thanks. I know I have a GT, but one one site they had M-5230-5GT and M-5230-SGT both listed for the GT. I just wanted to be sure.

You have checked with our vendors to see if they can get you an equal or better deal, right? :thumb::thumb::thumb:

No, I have not. I left a post on one thread, but the vendor never got back to me. I will send out some PMs. If any vendors read this, shoot me your best price shipped to 26301. Thanks.

Maybe post the request here. Sometimes the vendors don't always have time to go through all the threads in the various sections of the board.

Thanks guys. I think my questions were answered. How about I post up an introduction thread with some pics and I'll put all the details there. Keep on the look out.

Stingers at hwy cruise rpm

If you have not already pulled the trigger on the 5GT's, ask around about the droning in the cabin at 1500-2200 rpm in 5th. I have a set in the box that have been on and off twice for that very reason. The last time was about 30 minutes after I had long tubes installed. I put the oe's back on to prove my own point and ultimately went with the FRPP GTA's for more throat and flow, but none of the obnoxious down side. When you are on them, they sound great, but mellow and unobtrusive when you aren't. If you want to try some Stingers before you commit cash, pm me and we can work something out.

I couldn't agree more. They sound great outside the car. But try to carry on a conversation with someone while cruising around in city driving, or take a road trip, and you will get tired of them REAL quick.

I dont think they are that bad I like them. I do have some drone in the car but its not bad. maybe I am just used to louder cars.

I had some drone with my stingers but with installing the frpp x pype and it was gone....also makes difference if you use the stok(closed) air box or CAI

Hmm. Tough decision. Are there any sound clips that really capture the drone well? I don't disbelieve any of you, I'm just surprised at how bad the drone is and so many people run them. My VW had a very nice exhaust. It was louder than stock, but not obnoxious. There was NO drone.

I just want something very muscle-y with a nice aggressive tone. I don't want the loudest exhaust otherwise I'd go with straight pipes or an SLP exhaust.

From my research the H-pipe likes a chambered muffler and the X-pipe like a blowthrough such as the Stinger. I have flowmasters on my car and they are very raspy and have alot of drone but before with the h-pipe they were alot more tame. I am going with the Stingers soon but I have an X-pipe and not an H-pipe now.

From what I've seen by putting on a X pipe with the frpp or Borla stingers almost get rid or the drone or greatly reduce it , just like the Bassani race muffler it had terrible drone with the OEM h-pipe but spice in the x-pipe and it's almost gone

I had the FRPP 5GT "stingers" on for a couple of months. At idle and WOT they sounded great. However the drone drove me nuts. I took them off and put the stock mufflers back on. I sold the "stingers" and plan to put that money toward gears. I'm going to stick with the stock mufflers for now.
