Ordered the breathers yesterday. We shall see how much oil I get. I didnt do the oil cap though. Ill get there.
Interesting. I have mine on the driver's side and it catches a lot of oil. Like half a cup every few weeks.i called upr on this http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=2183 and they said dont put it on the driveside...i thought it was the driverside that had the problems
i called upr on this
I'd vent both sides ...
So like, vent both sides. Dont get sucked into the UPR or the steeda....
Hey nice mounting location! Did you run both sides to the can or what ? What is the drivers side connected to ?I took out my UPR oil separator and installed a Jaz mini catch can/breather today. It was $61 shipped. It's about the size of a coke can, not too big. It has a valve on the bottom to drain the oil out, and a barbed nipple so you can attach a drain line. Both 3/8" inlets rotate 360 degrees, which is cool.
The car runs about 1% smoother at the big end.
For those that don't think these do much, check out this video while at idle. You can see engine fumes coming out. The video didn't pick it up too well... it's more pronounced in person, but you get the point.
Here's my mounting location:

Yeah, you can't see the lines too well because I tried to hide them, but both crankcase lines go to the catch can. I capped off the PCV return port on the intake, as suggested in this thread. It's running well!Hey nice mounting location! Did you run both sides to the can or what ? What is the drivers side connected to ?
Thats how I have mine as well except I have two cans , one for each side. Looks good. Just be ready for a little vapor smell ,on warm days espeicaly.Yeah, you can't see the lines too well because I tried to hide them, but both crankcase lines go to the catch can. Holy crap, my gas mileage went in the shitter after switching from a separator to a breather. Dropped 10%. Makes me wonder if something else is going on.I took out my UPR oil separator and installed a Jaz mini catch can/breather today.
3/8" K&N Breather (Passenger side) 62-1320*
5/8" K&N Breather (Driver's side) 62-1340
3/8" Vacuum Cap (C&L Intake Tube) 660-1698 NAPA

The oil cap breather I got from Central Florida Motorsports and came with the filler neck.

If I was to do what you did(replace my PCV closed system with those K&N breathers and plug the Saleen S/C and intake) do I need to retune my saleen?
