I think in theory if UPR would have you cap the drivers side and just pull everything through the pass. In theory then the air would have further to travel and perhaps shed its oil vapor on the way.

I took out my UPR oil separator and installed a Jaz mini catch can/breather today. It was $61 shipped. It's about the size of a coke can, not too big. It has a valve on the bottom to drain the oil out, and a barbed nipple so you can attach a drain line. Both 3/8" inlets rotate 360 degrees, which is cool.

The car runs about 1% smoother at the big end.

For those that don't think these do much, check out this video while at idle. You can see engine fumes coming out. The video didn't pick it up too well... it's more pronounced in person, but you get the point.

Here's my mounting location:

Hey nice mounting location! Did you run both sides to the can or what ? What is the drivers side connected to ?

Yeah, you can't see the lines too well because I tried to hide them, but both crankcase lines go to the catch can. I capped off the PCV return port on the intake, as suggested in this thread. It's running well!

Just a note about what these cans are actually catching. When I had a separator, it would collect what looked mostly like oil. I switched to a breather, as pictured above, and what's being caught there is more like sludge. Interesting.

3/8" K&N Breather (Passenger side) 62-1320*
5/8" K&N Breather (Driver's side) 62-1340
3/8" Vacuum Cap (C&L Intake Tube) 660-1698 NAPA
5/8" Vacuum Cap (Saleen S/C) 660-1696 NAPA

The oil cap breather I got from Central Florida Motorsports and came with the filler neck.

Edit: link to baffled oil cap breather CFM Billet Valve Cover Breather Kit for 2005-08 Ford Mustang GT - 1-1020

If I was to do what you did(replace my PCV closed system with those K&N breathers and plug the Saleen S/C and intake) do I need to retune my saleen?

That's why mine is mounted under the bumper, no fumes, no wasting underhood space, and easy to reach the petcock too.
