damn throttle issue, need some advise

car is supercharged so harness has been extended for 5 or 6 years now. all solder joints. 1st started having an occasional limp in. shut it off and start it back, no problem. now its gotten consistent and seems to be temperature related meaning it doesnt act up when cold or maybe for 30 minutes of driving. i have replaced the throttle actuator, tps sensor, and throttle pedal. started to datalog today just to check tps1 & tps2. one of the 2 pids failed to load. dont remember which but my laptop died and im at Mustang week so resources are limited. would that sound like a pcm if a pid is failing to load or could it still be wiring or something else?

Do you validate PID's before building your config file? If not, do so. that will give you all PID's functional with your PCM and tune. I am assuming you are using SCT Livelink II.

Which codes you get (need to read without turning it off or they would probably be gone).

how to validate pid's? codes are 2104, 2112. just went to try an do some logging and it failed to load bank 1 short term trims also

those are actuator codes so I wonder if my t/b is bad ? I have a 62mm built on an l&m platform by S&H with 1 brass and 1 plastic gear but I can't see any wear and the voltage is 1.22on the tps. and its worked great for 2 years or so

Are you using SCT tuner and SCT livelink II on a laptop as your datalog software?

Validate PID list on this page of LIvelink II.

no I'm using 6.5. I couldn't get livelink II to communicate so I ditched it and reloaded 6.5 because it has always worked for me.

gotcha. Never used that version. if it does not have the screen I posted or a place to validate PIDs then your guess is as good as mine on datalogging.

I have had PID's fail because I started logging before I turned the key to the on position(not started) or because the laptop did not authenticate comms with the SCT device properly. Restarting the datalog software resolved that and of course having the key to on or the car running before engaging the datalog process has resolved issues like that for me. Otherwise it has only been because I tried to build a config file off line without validating and that PID was not used within my PCM/tune.
