Hey Seer, you mention/recommend Opti-guard quite often and either my searching is terrible or it has a slightly different product name. Any links/details are appreciated.
Opti-guard is the professional version of Opti-coat.

they actually make a carpet and linen attachment pad for the porter cable ita a brushed pad. Grey pads are a little more course but are not abrasive use them with glazes finishing polishes or light cut. Blue is for applying sealants, red is for liquid carnauba. Gold is basically the same. You truly just need orange, white and grey. Green pads are nice to have too. So compound, polish, and finishing. (green is light polishing if going by LC standard). What do you recommend for cleaning cloth seats. Here's the deal. My wife's car has dark gray/ black cloth seats, they keep lint and pet hair on them all the time. A vacuum doesn't even come close to getting it off. I have tried lint brushes and tape but nothing seems to get them cleaned up.
Edit: and while I'm thinking about it, I've seen finsihing pads in red, blue and gray for the porter cable. Which is it? lol this gets confusing, if you go with meguirs it's one color, wolfgang another color, etc.. are these all okay for applying sealant or wax? I want to buff the car, then seal it, then wax it.
my opinion is menzerna works better on the hard clear coat the 2010+ mustang has. Those red pads in that kit are for hand application of wax and sealants. They are imo one of the best hand pads out there.I was looking at the wolfgang kit.

It comes with free red pads as well. Would you rate this better than the Meguairs kit?
I'm going to look into the uphosltry brushes then and see if there's anything there that can be combined with a cleaner. etc. Thanks alot for your help on everything I've been asking lately. You've educated me alot!
I also just noticed they have a menzerna kit as well..
car had to be bare. You should get about 2.5 coats oer bottle.I have a couple questions about AQuartz:
My car is just painted, cut and buffed and buffed and buffed. So, I figure this is as perfect as its ever going to be.
(1) Do I need to remove any polish left behind from the polishing process before applying, even if they skip any waxes after the compound?
(2) Aquarz's site says it needs two (2) coats of TI and Premium on first application, doesn't say how much the bottles will cover. Will those little bottles cover the entire car, twice? Is twice necessary on a newly cut car?
Okay, So I've about got everything ready to go. I think I've decided to go with the megs 105 and 205. I plan on using this for my truck it has alot of scratches along the bed area and water spot etching on the hood. Will this work?, also reading through this thread about how abrasive the compound is I'm kind of scared now. lol
Yeah, I'm using th PC.
I haven't bought anything yet, was just looking at it since i'm familiar with it. I know you've suggested the menzerna, but it seems more aggressive than the meguiars. as far as how far it cuts. (if I'm reading things right.)
stupid question, it has factory 4x4 stickers on it, will this affect those?
I've used this one, but some of the other pro's may chime in with something better.

Did you like it?
Yes, I liked it. I only got to use it a couple times before winter hit but it seemed to work pretty good.
NastyStang or Seer may recommend something better, but I was happy with this one.
the basic gilmour foam gun is more than sufficient, unless youre attaching it to a power washer.
