The text i received this morning

Darren: Hey brother i dont know what to do...
Me: What do you mean? The car thing?
Darren: Yeah, i really want a new 5.0 but i dont want the payments.
Me: Id just whipple your car, have a safe tune on it and enjoy it. You have alot of mods that could be sold, put that money towards the whipple.
Darren: I think you may be right.
Me: I know i am, lol. Now just go order it. You can put the stock cams back in, sell the hotrods, sell the FRPP intake, and sell the JLT series 3. Your gonna wanna hear that whine over the cams anyway.
Darren: Well you are making some valid points. Maybe i should just order it.
Me: Id even drive over there and help you install it.
Darren: Ill text you later, im going to call Tousley.

I havent heard from him since. Darren where are you?

IF I do Whipple mine, I'm a bit intimidated by hooking up the proper fuel setup.....ie......BAP or GT500 fuel pumps

Easy unless he runs into problems.

He'll need a dyno tune if he keeps the hot rods.

fuel system is very easy

Yes it is very easy. Go with new pumps and be done in lieu of the BAP. We have read horror stories about installing and wiring the pumps and some will make it harder than it really is or needs to be. Some people are more mechanically inclined than others.

The kit comes with GT500 pumps, another fpdm (the bolts are already in 2007+ cars for the extra fpdm), wire harness, relay, and connections to the fuse box. It's not that difficult. In fact the whole thing isn't that hard, just takes a little time. I'll send you a pdf of the install directions if you like.

Now do it!

The fuel system was one of the easiest parts of the install. I was scared too, but about 30 minutes into it I realized it was a piece of cake.

You can leave the cams in too if you want. There's a few of us on here running this setup.

There's never a dull moment with the Whip!

Til the stock bottom end blows & you have to shell out several grand for a motor build. Opening up the wallet for that wont be to dull of a moment. The few weeks the car will be down dripping oil everywhere will be a dull moment....

I still say leave it alone & just drive/enjoy the car

Stock motors with the FRPP tune don't blow.

+1 about the Ford tune. Ed Badillo did the tune for Ford. You can beat the living piss out of the car with the HO kit from Ford using their tune and you won't have a problem. I drove mine hard all the time and never had an issue....now the belt is another story.

:thumb2: Exactly right!! There is enough knowledge from all of us in this thread that we can all walk you thru the install on the phone or whatever you wish. You could take a trip up here to Greg's Garage and we could get it done in a weekend. A polished Whipple and Tungsten match up real Nice!! LOL!!
