I prefer more duration and would choose the lower lift "CJ" cams personally.

Not necessarily, this is direct from the FRPP tech notes on those cams.
" Check cam follower roller to cylinder head clearance with base 2011- 2014 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V Ti-VCT cylinder head"
So apparently there's enough variance in the head castings that some may need work and some may not, it's pretty much a case by case basis.
