The manifold came yesterday. It was prepped except for the water adapters. They were picked up today and added. As of right now the manifold is bolted down to the motor.

A few things that happened along the way:

The custom fuel line that I had fabbed and tested wouldn't fit. I couldn't get the lock to thread because the fitting was riding the fender. Here is a pic from the wheel well with the liner removed.

This is how the fitting looks:

I ended up reusing the stock line but only the fittings. They are used with 5/16" multi fuel compatible fuel injection line.

Here's how it looked prior to installation today:

This was the nemesis of the day. The driver side water fitting was riding the a/c block and line. A lot of dremel action on the fitting and several test fits before it fit without contact.

The supercharger snout was put back on yesterday. I sealed it up even though the machining was so good it probably wasn't needed. Still need to cut the bottom tab off of it.

Here's how it looked at the end of the day. I'm going to reposition the coolant line in the front. If I move it over there will be enough room to protect it with sleeving.

More to come. The goal is to have it running on Saturday. The biggest time consumer so far has been obtaining and putting together the parts that don't come with it. Actually the most time has been spent swapping long tubes for short tube headers but that wasn't really part of a normal supercharger install.

Wouldn't you want a smoother 90* fitting than that?

Mine are curved.

I bought a one piece fitting thinking that it would screw right in. As it turned out it wouldn't because of how the manifold is designed so I had to add a male and female junction which made it stick out just enough to make contact.

Lesson learned.

The coolant line ended up being the nemesis today. I finally cut down a pre molded hose to make the bend without collapsing the hose.

All ready for the blower. Grinding the bottom tab off took awhile. Once I got a grinder out it went a lot better. I was using a dremel at first.

Getting ready to put the rails and GT500 injectors on.

Fuel lines are on, blower on, injectors in. Next up is routing the vacuum lines. Then it's the front end and buttoning it up.

Looks like you're about there man!

I'm not a big fan of the coolant line location on the DOB manifolds. There isn't really anything that can be done, but it certainly is a headache.

Looking good Bruce. Can't wait to see the final review. That big bore boss is going to get after it.

It's not too bad if you use the Summit fittings in the parts list on the DOB forum. The worst part is I really wanted to run one of mine on the DS but just couldn't make it work. Good job with that part, Bruce!

Taking a short break. Broke an allen head off in a countersunk bolt that had to come out. Hopefully that will be the nemesis for the day.

I was able to use a commercially available 136" belt. I'm not using the recommended idler pulley combo. I'm also using a Saleen water pump pulley that came from their underdrive pulley set. horsepower1 has them for under $30.

The GT500 TB just showed up. I really hope to have this thing started today.

Found out that the alternator and water temp both use the same connections as o2 sensors when they plug into the harness. Lucky for me I had two o2 extenders left over from swapping headers. Worked great.

It's really close to being done. The key on power wire needs to be spliced into the intercooler relay, one port on the blower needs a cover fabbed for it, the intercooler hoses need to be connected to the reservoir and heat exchanger, fluids added, and the power steering reservoir needs to be fastened.

It's not real pretty right now. I've been trying to get it ready for my nephew who is visiting this weekend. He's wanted to ride in it for quite some time and is making the trip from South Dakota to Washington.

Provided that there aren't any fuel or other leaks it should start up this afternoon and be ready for initial logging. I haven't driven it for two weeks now and think I'm going through withdrawls. It is the funnest car I've ever had and I do miss driving it.

So........?

So I have a no start condition. It's never happened before. I might of had the throttle body and frps connectors swapped. I can now verify rail pressure but the battery won't crank. Time to get a charger.

I'm not too concerned yet because it can't be anything real major. All I did was bolt a blower on and change the injectors.

Did you find the problem?

Not yet. I'm entertaining some out of town guests so the car is on hold. I did get a battery charger today. The battery is charging now.

The intercooler setup is proving to be hard to prime. I've been blowing into the reservoir to pressurize the system and force coolant through the passages. It's working and the pump was primed until it sucked the rest of the coolant out. I wasn't fast enough with adding it in so it lost prime. I've never had this before but as long as it's fixable I'm ok with it.

If it still won't start after the battery is charged then I'm going to load one of my old Procharger tunes but change the injectors and maf data. I need to know that it will start. Like I posted before, it can't be anything too major because the only different parts are the maf, injectors, and throttle body. The supercharger and it's intake manifold are new but not so much that it would affect start up imo.

I'm fairly certain that it's not getting enough fuel. If I had the throttle body and fuel rail pressure sensor swapped that would of caused it. By the time I realized it the battery would hardly crank the motor over.
