dyno results

got my car dynoed today on a mustang dyno. made 310 ft lbs an 300hp on a 93 race tune from bama chips. my car has a steeda cold air,bbk o/r x pipe stock mufflers. i think it did pretty good the 91 performance tune made 298 on the hp and 304ft lbs...

Interesting....those are about the numbers I mAke but I'm just on the 91oct canned tune. Makes me wonder if its worth it to buy a BBR tune. Like is my car just a bit strong, and I'll make more on the BBR tune. Or will I make the same power?

If you search on this site, weve covered it many times..This site is kind of different than others. We like to measure how fast a car is by 1/4 mile times and trap speeds. Dyno numbers dont mean much around here, nor should they.

Also, Mustang Dynos now have a correction factor that pumps the numbers back up to numbers similar to the Dynojet. So your numbers are probably what you'd see on an inertia dyno like a Dynojet.

Your numbers look spot on for an Auto on a Dynojet SAE corrected. More and more I'm seeing this with MD's over the last year or two.

This is my understanding as well. I had my car re-tuned at my friends shop on his MD dyno. On the way home, I stopped at a friends that owns a Dynojet. He asked if I would let him put my car on his dyno so he could see the difference. The two dynos were withing 2% of each other.
