just a real quick question. Will 26x11.50R17 ET streets fit on the stock 17x8 rims? I know 275/40R17s will fit on the stock rims, and everything I've read leads me to believe that a 26x11.50R17 is almost the same size as a 275/45R17

So i should have no problem mounting them up? These are the ET streets, not the ET street radial. Any qualms about those? prefer one over the other?

from what my buddies have told me... I've never run them....the ET Streets hook great... but can get squirrelly (a bit of rear end wiggle) on the top end especially above 110 or so

yeah that's what I've seen... I don't trap over 110 yet so it won't be a big deal lol. I don't think its too bad... lots of people still run them I guess so I don't think i'll worry about it

They ARE a bit squirrelly at the end but it's very controllable, but definately should NOT be driven to the track on the highway--now THAT is scary. They are the only tire that gave me a 1.5x 60 ft, by the way.

They mount up fine on the 17x8s. I'm sure I have a picture at home. I keep a set handy whenever I can get someone to follow me in the truck, so I can mount them at the track. Otherwise, I use the 295/45-17 ET Street Radial on a set of 17x9 Bullitt wheels when I have to drive to the track on the drag tires...

where are you ordering these bad boys from? I need some new track tires. those MT ET streets annoyed me this past weekend.
I always get my M/T tires from Summit... quick service and good prices.

They are a bit of an attention getter the first time on the highway when you try to get out of the ruts from the tractor trailers.

I drove them 200 miles round trip to the track 6 or 7 times.

up until just recently i swapped the slicks onto my stock rims the day of racing or the day before. Never had a problem. because the tire is so soft i dont lube the tire up to put it on the rim (only so the tire doesnt spin on the rim during burnouts/launch) Here are a few pics of them on my old car. I also got mine from summit!

Cool info guys. Me needy some racing tires now, too.

So any clearance issues with the tires during launches at the track?

Montreal Qc,
No clearance problems here even on a lowered car..
I have driven them to the track a couple of times and it's really only in the curves you need to be careful.
