Just read through 208 posts... can't wait to see both cars finished. I'm glad both are black :)

Hope these fenders will line right up with the 05-09 support.

Random question here, but how's the fit differ between the older and newer hoods?

I just picked up a friends old Roush Stage 2 hood from their old 2012 and I was wondering it I could literally bolt it on to my 2008.

So the contour of the hoods where they meet the fender is different?

As far as the wiper nozzles I have a relocation kit.

Bolt it on and see how it looks.
It couldn't possibly look any worse than a GT500 hoods on the stock gt bumper.

lol its much worse. the fender to hood lines are not even close

Well fudge. I was really hoping it would at least be close.

I can't imagine it's THAT different though. The frames are identical.

And for the hood latch to be in a different spot, wouldn't the radiator support have to be different? If not I could just grab a newer hood latch, right?

The curve in the fender leading into the headlight buckets on the 2010 + is much more pronounced than on the 05-09.

I see what you're talking about. Minor, but noticeable.

That said, with the way that contour sits, shouldn't it be pretty easy to flatten out an aluminum hood to fit?

I say if you're gonna do it, do it the right way and buy the fenders and a 10+ bumper. I know it's easier said than done, but I personally wouldn't take shortcuts on something as noticible as this

Only if you plan on cutting out the bracing underneath and adding hood pins. These hoods are remarkably strong for being aluminum. Also, I imagine the contour across the hood is different as well. Chances are there would be way more work to make it fit than is worth it. But the only way to really know is to bolt one on.
