I wouldn't spend any more money on the car until you get everything possible out of the car as it sit now. The only thing I would consider spending money on would be gears, but if you continue to baby it like you are now it still won't be any faster than it is now. Not to be an ass but my car bone stock ran 13.50's with 2.0 60' on the stock BFG's, and with a few bolt on's and a tuner ran a 13.0 in the middle of summer in Houston. Keep in mind these are little engines that don't have alot of power, and if you want it to go fast you are going to have to be willing to abuse it. You should also realize now that going fast is going to lead to broken parts and expensive repairs. If you are ok with that then by all means launch harder, spin it higher in each gear, don't lift on the shifts, and watch the ET's start to drop drastically.

My first time ever at a drag strip was this past January. Before that, I never ran the car "hard." So this is a steep learning curve for me.

I'm spending it on gears and the LCA's/relocation brackets because of the insane amount of squat I have. And I'm not really "babying" it considering where I'm at. I'm running it as hard as I know how to. I don't know how to powershift, and I honestly don't really want to learn how right now.

Spinning it higher in each gear always leads to 2nd gear lockout, which is why I dropped the shift point.

Could I do better? Of course; however, I'm running it how I know and having fun. That's all I really want to do.

EDIT: I also ran a 13.2 @ 105 on that first outing in January with just a JLT CAI, tune, 3.55's, and Nitto 555's (the street tire). I was pretty happy with that.

I would try to maximize what you have as far as driving before spending money on new parts.
I didn't install my 4.10's because I wanted to see what I can squeeze out of the 3.31's and I think I'm done.
She has 12.7's in her with a better 60ft but my gears are definitely holding it back. lol

that cai+tune+tires(not drs) 13.2@105 isn't bad, still likely had a bit more in it.

get an auto 2011+ thats what I had to do :p

I would but I like not having a car payment.

I'm more than likely going to hold off on the 4.10's and suspension for now. Definitely want to get a two-step, though. I don't really like the throttle response with this BBR tune and it makes it really hard to hold a constant RPM on the line. I just need to get that 60' down.

I do want to see what I can get out of it NA as it sits, especially since it's not even tuned for the N20. The nitrous was kind of a spur of the moment purchase. haha

I had an issue with a few email tunes not being able to hold a steady rpm, it was kind of like anything touching the pedal would eventually work it's way to WOT, tell BBR to check the pedal ramp % or something like that I think it was. it will bring the jumpiness down a bit but you will be able to hold any RPM like stock.

I have a wotbox anyway so I use that two-step, very helpful to be consistent.

Good call. I'll do that this week. :thumb:

Lower the air in your tires and lock 1st gear out on your switch. Launch hard in first and if it bogs, you dont have to worry about the nitrous spraying. Once you hit 2nd gear, it will be rolling strong. I would leave at around 4-5k. You will be able to hook without any problems. You are losing very valuable 1/10's bogging like that

That tire is 28" tall. You should be running a 26" tire with 3.55's...less bog. Its reducing your gear ratio..

I respect that you actually admit it unlike many who can't drive but think they can....now quit posting on here and go get some more seat time!

I'll definitely be the first to admit that. And I wish I could go to the track more often, but the two closest tracks are ~1.5 hours away each.

That's what I'm going to try next time out. Definitely set it to spray 2nd+ and try to raise the launch RPM. Also got a tune from BBR for the 100-shot, so I'll be using that next time out.

The tire is 25.8" tall. I double checked before I purchased them. :thumb:
