Yea I know no fishing in the winter, but we do fish for Rock(striped bass) fish here in the winter. we went like 2 weeks and did ok, but nothing like that 48 inch monster in the pic i posted.

Im trying to drop some ducks this weekend! We need to start a duck hunting thread lol



When the marlin turn on here in MD you could drag a soda can and get hooked up its usually pretty crazy from end of august to early sept

All I have to say to that is you suck.

Man I need to move closer to the gulf. If the river smallmouth and trout fishing wasn't so great around here I'd do it. The 3 months of not being able to fish here is almost too much for me. I really want to get back down to the Florida Keys next year too. Ah well, back to work.

nice ducks! we went for a quick trip this morning. have not seen many ducks flying yet there were about 1000 geese up in the creek we have our blind in, but they all rolled out before the sun came up, as we were putting out decoys.

all i manged to grab today was 1 merganser duck. kinda sucks but hell it was 60 here this morning so i guess you can expect much here yet.

Aight people i need to bump this thread.

Headed to Hot Springs in a few weeks for a little R&R. Whats the best lake in the area?
Lake Ouachita, Lake Hamilton, Lake Catherine? Or another one that i wouldnt know about.

Spent this past Christmas in the Florida Keys, was a wonderful time! We chartered a captain and a boat, just the 2 of us, to go out fishing for a full day. Had an awesome time, caught a lot of fish, but alas, not all were keepers.
We kept 10 spanish mackerel and 6 mangrove snappers.

We had to throw back 8 or so Gag grouper b/c they were too short, a 60'ish pound Goliath grouper (protected, can't keep 'em), caught 6 or so sharks from 2 feet to around 4.5 feet, half dozen blue runners, couple amberjack, few pufferfish, and a seagull (got tangled in the line)!

Season is closed here right now. I'm getting the boat ready to hit the big lake for coho and the river until pike and bass opens up.

Can't wait to get on the lake this weekend. Was going to go yesterday but the wind was blowing 30 mph. Now we're under tornado warnings and watches.

Been catching Shad on the Delaware for 2 weeks now. I hope to catch a few more this week and get some pics, I just hate bringing my phone out with me when I'm in waders.
