give it a few years and compare agian. But i'll honestly be suprised if we see 130+ trap speeds from an NA 4V like some of the LS7's are capable of.

I was thinking we would see Jon Mihovetz move over to the Coyote by now and make more power. But only time will tell if the 5.0 at the upper limits will be an equal to the Mihovetz 4.6.

N/A to N/A the LSx goes up to 511 cubic inches, I just don't see the 5.0 even coming close. LS1's have been capable of 500 rwhp on stock internals for many years and the 5.0 just got there. Over time perhaps we may see 600 rwhp but I just don't see them capable of anything close to 4 digit rwhp N/A like the LSx is.

As of right now engines like the Huffaker built 5.4 based 6.0 still shade the 5.0 N/A to N/A.

Looks are subjective. 3V's being slow is a fact.

compared to a 5.0, yes they are. i just think its funny how some 5.0 owners have to put down 3v owners all the time. we get it, you have a shinny new 5.0. get over yourself its still just a mustang

I haven't even been talking about a 5.0. The fastest mod motor is a 4.6 same as yours. Just not a 3V.

The standing rule is you have to be over 300 rwhp to talk shiz over there....

I don't know where this recent humor has came from but that made me laugh out loud. Despite the fact that our Mustang is a 3V.....:argh:

And you got just a Mustang to, its just that your a lot slower than he is.

You can lead a horse to water.....................

oh my bad, i read everything wrong, and i have the flu so im moody haha

Well then I will apologize for everything I said earlier.....or not.

well, we established that the reason ford took so long to make an intake for the 3v is because the 3v is the slowest engine ever (which is funny since speed is determined by more factors than just the engine). we found out that the 2v modular is the fastest engine ever (but tied with the 4v and LSx) and we also established that slowa$$5.0 is really slow.

The 3V was kind of a stop gap engine for Ford , and in comparison to the 5.4 3V its better than a Ferrari V8.

2v's are faster and had better blocks. Good heads, cams, intake, and turbo and you will be faster than the equal 3v.

Really?

Looks are subjective. 3V's being slow is a fact.

13.3s aren't slower than any stock 2Vs I've run. I don't even downshift into 3rd at highway speeds to walk them. FWIW Germ and all the LSX loving crowd out there, generally speaking it is easier to make a fast street motor out of a larger displacement motor since they don't have to rev. as high. Makes for more relaxed cruising. However, ultimate HP will always belong to the engine that can flow more air and have a built engine to handle the necessary revs. to consume all that air or the ubiquitous power adder. That is why John Mihovetz has the bad to bone ride that he does: Money+Engine Potential+Development=Quickest Car.

Bob Glidden used to run all over the Chevy boys in his 351C powered Pinto by revving it to 10,000rpm. The key was the canted valve heads(and a pretty stout block). Now guys just use turbos to force all that air and fuel through those hungry cylinder heads instead of revving it to 9 grand. SlowA$$, don't be a dumbA$$. Any intelligent engine builder knows more head flow equals more power(or at least the potential to build power). Getting that power reliably is a function of multiple users and time tested components. The 3V has had relatively little development from the serious racing crowd, yet the potential to squash the 2V is there. It just takes determination, know-how, and money to get there. I think the video proves my point.

I try to be objective with you, but do you think one guy who pushes a 4V to its limits mean that the 4V is better than a BBF or BBC? Maybe you don't know this but the fastest cars on planet earth are big cube V8. This debate was never between 4V and LSx and the BBF and the BBC.
