Everyone is for sure entitled to their own opinion.

That said, if I'm not mistaken, the Ferrari 430 used cast aluminum intake manifolds, one for each bank. Same goes for the new 458, it also uses aluminum. I know Porsche also has been using cast aluminum manifolds for a long time. I'll have to look into it more.

Edit: The Gallardo uses cast aluminum manifolds too. I certainly remember a few hypercars using carbon composite intakes, and I know the BMW M V8s and V10s use a BASF fibre glass reinforced plastic, but it would seem that aluminum is still the preferred material for most production supercars.

Although cost plays the biggest part with Base model domestic cars ( Ford, GM, etc) when referencing a Ferrari you also have to consider that there RPM range is between 9k and 10K on almost every new model same with any super car try reving a mustang to 9K with a POS plastic intake.

I understand that you probably now this I am merely stating it as reference in between all the bitching or internet dick wars.

A mud puddle. Hhhhmmmm....so you're suggesting he is the single-celled, lower IQ life form seeping from the primordial ooze?

I just can't wait to see what happens when someone running 14 psi or so on a centrifugal slams the throttle blades shut at the finish line. If it's flexing this much under simple vacuum conditions.........

FRPP intake = Check
Centri = Check
15lbs = Check
shit for luck= Check

Ohhh fuck.. come on now!! haha.. first you make me feel like pissed $525 and now my cars going to blow up!!!

F that.. I'm not installing this thing tell this gets cleared up.. I already beta tested enough for you people.. I just got the car running right after years and now I'm going to blow up!!!! :pcshoot:

All I I'm seeing is a bunch of bad hype and still no failures. Not one. Not a single failure and this thing's getting dragged through the mud. Seems like the C&L supporters are stirring the pot too.

Hey Ted, send me your and I will pressure test it to 7000rpm and 27psi and see what happens on the dyno!

I have the frpp intake and throttle body and JDM cai and have not noticed that breathing. Is the setup running the stock throttle body and intake? When they looked at my intake they just laughed that it wouldn't draw enough air. Could this be a result of not enough airflow in and increased vacuum pressure?

this is hopefully a joke. as for anyone who doesnt get it. 2 bar equals a hair over 29 psi. so this was a joke. i hope. a sad sad attempt at a joke.

I said that I'd like to see it tested to 2 bar like they claim and supposedly I was joking???? :wtf:

Hey Tangerine Boy....riddle me this:

How the fuck does the boost INCREASE twenty pulls after installing a HIGHER FLOWING INTAKE MANIFOLD????????

Bullitdyno.jpg

Boost should have dropped after the install. However, this graph shows it has increased. Pulley change perhaps? Could that be where the increase from 4K on up came from?

I would think a pulley change would increase the boost by more than .3 psi.

Mine came yesterday and I'll check the breathing this weekend.

If run conditions were different enough it could very well account for the a 0.3psi difference. One run during the heat of the day and the other in the evening after a cool front blew through? It's hard to say without knowing the run conditions.

I'd like to think that people aren't purposely trying to tout a product with "skewed" results, and I am not trying to accuse or insinuate that by any means that it happened in this case.

I'd love to have a chance to do back to back to back testing of the stock intake with delete plates, C&L, and FRPP in same day testing. My car already pushes more boost and power than most 3v' owners and if the FRPP intake really is at risk for explosion/implosion, it would happen on my car! Unfortunately I don't own a shop or have deep pockets any more (wife and I have twins on the way).
