is there a code? I missed it.. haha..

I just edited that post.. I forgot to add the $300+ TB that you will have to buy unless they will test it with the stock TB and I dont think that will happen. I wonder if my gt500TB will bolt to it without the adapter plate?

I am honestly looking at getting the On3 turbo kit here within the next year so this and maybe a Ford racing or GT500 TB is in my near future as well. With mustang week coming up I might not be able to afford it though because i completely forgot about it and i now have to start saving.

plus your not including the 62mm TB($300+) that people will have to buy so my $700 is too low people.. lets be honest.

Most NA cars don't really need a 62mm and a 60mm will work just fine and is less than 1/2 the price, so I would do it this way...

CJ Pony Parts Intake .................................... = $549.00 SHIPPED
CJ Pony Parts twin 60 mm GT 500 Throttle body = $116.96 SHIPPED

TOTAL....................................................... = $ 665.96

That's not bad at all if you really need the TB. I installed the GT 500 TB on my stock manifold (I paid $129 shipped) and it works great, no spacer needed because the butterflies do clear the intake opening, no problem.

BTW: CJ Pony had the intake on sale 4th July for $499, so we will be seeing the price drop a bit after a while.

So it depends on how well you shop around, but $700 for the intake is never going to happen, IMHO.

I have the gt500 tb on my stock manifold.. your telling me all these years I had that gay blue adapter plate(that is pushing my procharger pipe out of whack) is not needed?!! haha.. someone please confirm.. I want to rip that shit out then.

I agree the frpp manifold itself is not 700, but they way they are marketing it and show results are for a bigger TB with it.. Thats why it drives me crazy how this is done, and I'm not talking about frpp alone. haha

for example.. I design and put out a new SC.. I tell people it makes +250hp on a stroker with 10.1:1 cp and the blower is ported also. All for $5K

now as a buyer:

1) unless you have the same setup your not going to have a clue how much hp you will make

2) the new SC is only $5K, but the results have the added cost of porting it. so unless you add that in like the TB, your in worse shape now because you know that will reduce the benefits.. and we cant have that.

then we have to factor when people dyno.. they have to do before and after(same day) and most people will not do that do to the time needed to install manifold..

So because the marketing group of these company's cant just tell us the real results with some setups.. we have to guess and have people be beta testers even after a year or more of testing from so many. haha

I think I gave myself a head ach :beerdrink:

Yeah the only difference as far as the TB + manifold is the GT 500 has the four mounting holes about 1/8" further outbaord. All that is needed is a $5 rat tail file and about 20-30 minutes of easy work.

I see no reason what so ever to use a spacer/adapter. But that's my opinion.

Actually I did most of the fileing in the air conditioned house with a cool Corona. Just take your time.

were the intake openings a match, or smaller? Unless you fabbed the intake, the tb openings are not matched to intake.
