When is it a smart move to go away from the stock lines?

It cant hurt, so really, any time you want. On 500/600+ car it will give you head room and drop cuty cyle on your setup pretty significantly, even more so on an e85 setup due to the higher volume of fuel thats being moved. A rail upgrade will help as well. Its another part of the puzzle to get more out of your returnless fuel system. Bigger pumps, bap, thicker wiring, bigger lines/rails etc all help.

How would this work connecting to Drake rails and the Drake line adapter kit?

Does the Drake rails have an adpator to connect to the stock fuel line? If so it will bolt right on. If not I can provide any fitting or adaptor to make it work for you.
