Just got off the phone with BBR. They said the dual BAP and GT500 pumps will only be good to around 700rwhp. They recommended upgrading to a return style system. Who is running a return style system? Anyone running a dual BAP with GT500 pumps? If so what kind of numbers are you seeing at the tires, and are the pumps about maxed out.

Is the search button broken today? First a new FRPP manifold and boost thread, then this? lol

Lots of guys running both setups and quite a few threads on it.

What is your power goal, current fuel system and injector size? How much you looking to spend?

LOL, I forget about the search function.

currently just have the GT500 fuel pumps, the new injectors are DS1000's, at some point will be running 22-23lbs of boost, starting with the 15-17psi pulley which I am guessing will be around 650-680rwhp, so when all said and done probably be around 720rwhp (just guessing of course).

FWIW a 40 amp bap will do the same job as a dual bap. Credit Jeremy with that info. I've done it and it works. I'm convinced a dual is just a 40 with extra wires coming out of it.

Exactly! :)

Call kb and watch them get confuzed if you ask them why you cant use a 40amp bap which is designed for a dual pump load. lol

Find you a 40amp bap in the calssifieds and see where it gets you for now.

Not to steal the thread but since he brought it up anyway what does it take to go to a return style system? I'm looking into doing a fuel cell when I do my fuel system and was looking at return setups.

You have way more injector than you need if not running E85. You could have saved some money and got some 60's that would work with your setup.

Return style hat, suply and return lines/fittings, return style fuel rails, fuel pressure regulator, pumps, wiring/fuses/relays.

IMHO there is really no such thing as too big of injector when your trying to push your fuel system. Especialy with the idle quality of those id's, they can only help. Besides 700hp on 60's is pushing it on duty cycle.

The 60lb injectors, along with the Gt pumps where getting close to being maxed out on the old setup, and I would rather be safe than sorry, having those injectors also gives me future options like E85.

I'm running a return style fuel system, ID1000 injectors, Aeromotive Pro series regulator, dual Walbro 405 pumps. Pretty sure that the setup is something that I am not going to have to worry about maxing out any time soon (or ever for that matter).

<this guy had gt500 pumps with 52's, 16psi was very close to being maxed around 660hp. no BAP at the time of the dyno.

since then i have gone to 63's and a BAP just for the insurance factor, i never plan on going and higher with the HP, its already stupid on the street..

We just made 670 with C16 on an 4R70W with that fuel system (GT500+dualBAP),and max FPDC was 72%.

We are going to go with the GT500 pumps, dual bap, and the ID1000 injectors would like to see 670-680rwhp on 104 octane, we should be fine from what it sounds like.

Still looking for fuel rails, are the aeromotives any good?
