Headers do not mess with the tune, the only thing to do is turn the rear 02's off.

Yes, I bought the long tubes from them and got them to update the tune as well. I did email them to verify they did update the tune for the l/t's and Chandler said they did and the new graph didn't look that bad? I fully admit I don't know a ton on dyno graphs and what not but the lines looked MUCH smoother on the first sheet. ( aka, dont take this as a Brenspeed bash because it's not in any way. I fully plan on going back there for my blower install next year but nor do I really understand why the graphs are so different )

First pic is from the dyno pull when Brenspeed installed the cams and dyno tuned it couple years ago. Last winter I installed the long tube headers and finally got around to getting a dyno pull done few weeks ago, the l/t are the only difference between then and now. First is 319 rwhp and second is 335 in case hard to read...

I dont really care much about absolute max power since it's just a street car and it pulls good enough for me. But I was wondering about that dip around 4500 rpms too and the a/f looked lil wonky to my untrained eye...

For comparison, here is my older post of my results with bolt ons that I used to compare results before and after adding headers. The pre headers dyno were with a Bassani X pipe and high flow cats.

C&L racer intake
Kooks Custom Headers with X pipe and high flow cats
SLP Loudmouth axle back
CMCV delete plates
Comp Cams NSR cams
Steeda underdrive pullies
SCT Xcal3 tuner with a Bama 93 octane tune
4.10 gears

The tune was written before I added the headers and the tune wasn't updated for the dyno after the headers.

Dang, was on here doing search for NA dyno graphs. Just got my 07 done Thursday(8-2) and wanted to compare on how car did. My car is an automatic 07GT with minor bolt on's. Mods are JLT air intake, underdrive pulleys, American racing Long tubes, Off road X-pipe, Magnflo exhaust. Most of the other mods are suspesion and set of 3.73...

Car made 292.72 rwhp & 306.28 rwtq Torque was actually higher than I expected.

Here is graph.

I put 350rwhp with 4.10's and mods in my sig. And had 2 completely different cams in my car. (minus JLT 3)

Stage1 =driver side
Stage 2= pass side

C&L Racer, Pypes Full exhaust, Steeda CMDPs and Steeda Pulleys, Brenspeed Detroit Rocker Cams, Shaftmasters aluminum one piece driveshaft.

Not bad at all for 4.10 gears. 93 tune by Chris Tillman.

I love it :)

340hp/320tq

I really can't think of anything else I could add short of a SC.

Some sticky tires and light weight wheels is what made my car come alive and ALOT of seat time (drver mod). I've got my dyno sheet somewhere but with the few mods in my sig i made 323hp and 357ftlb at the wheels and have ran a best of 12.34@111 with 3.31 gears!!

I have a very similar setup to you except with a few more bolt ons and 3.73's to include same size tire (except M/T DRs)

I have to shift for my life and gut half the car to get 12.9 out of it.

what do you do? shift points? ect.

also I have been dropping the hammer at like 5k and dead hooking to a 1.80 60' at 28psi

I have been entertaining the ideas that I should be running a smaller tire and my tune may need some more advance or fuel or something. but unfortunatly I don't have the spare time to run this thing over and over again to find out what it needs.

btw I have this anomoly where I actually go faster on the 87 street tune with 87 gas in it than the 93 tune with 93 gas in it.

that is why I am thinking my tune is either lacking fuel and spark, or is mabey giving to much spark and I am going down the track in knock retard.

btw I did dyno my car one time

when I was intake, cmdp, axel backs, pullies, 3.73, alum ds, HT0s (for the spray), and running on a bama 93 nitrous tune (without the nitrous going of course) 301hp with pretty steady AFRs.

I beilive that 301 is low for what the car can do between the cold plugs and running on a retarded nitrous tune. also I have added mac headers and pro chamber since that so I am curious what I got now.

I think your tune maybe the problem. My tune from JPC Racing was spot on!!! Justin is the man. Get a 93 tune from them and you'll be on your way my brother!! I launch at 4k and shift at 6500 crossing the line in third at 6500. The only weight i remove is the passenger seat and all the stuff in the trunk, weight of car with me in it in race trim is 3450lbs.

I am running 12.8s on street tires that still have 35 psi BEFORE cams, pulleys, ds & plates

So I agree your tune may be the issue.

And TopBliss, I wouldn't say those 5.0s ain't nothin' haha. They still put down more after all the money I dumped into this car hehe

Strange flow in hat header graph, I don't even have an educated opinion lol.

Probably due to the VCT timing not being optimized for the cams.

What gear were the pulls in?

All of mine were in 4th gear.

My 2005 GT used and all the mods I put on it cost me less than a new 2011 V6. It does take a lot of money to make a 2005-2010 GT as fast as a stock 2011+ 5.0 though.

Damn, I must have a really good motor. Mine went 288/310 with a Chris Rose dyno tune and a bullitt cai.. Manual trans though.

I guess this is getting off topic of the full bolt ons original post, but with just a Steeda intake and canned email Steeda 91 octane Cali emissions tune, my '08 GT put down 295 HP and 313 lb-ft.

Tires tires tires!
Good job on the numbers I may be doing heads and cams this winter. Since I have what I believe is a bad valve seal :(
