1. On the Front page of www.sctflash.com click on the link that says http://www.sctflash.com/tsupdates.php?GUD=1

2. Depending on which specific unit you have click on the picture. Should be a #3000 if it is an X CAL 3 or a #3015 if it is an SF3.

3. On the back of the unit there will be a serial number that you will need to enter.

4. Once you enter the serial number you want to follow the directions very carefuly to make sure that your hand held has the Most Current Firmware. This is very important as I can tell you that the tune sent to you is most likely on the current set up. It is not uncommon for a tune to become corrupted if the firmware is not current.

5. Follow the directions that SCT gives as they are very clear and specific.

6. Once this is done you should be able to install the tune to the Hand Held.

Hope this helps some.

guys, I still cannot figure this out! We download the software but we don't get the set up wizard! We attempted what was supposed to be manually downloading it but it didn't work!
We have downloaded the sct2 on sctflash.com, we did the 2nd download from the bottom. It says it is downloaded but it doesn't do anything. Help please.

If there is a return to stock option in the tuner, does that mean it is married or do they always have that option?

No I haven't tried that. I am gonna try and start over on my sisters computer and see what happens. I have a Mac and it won't read the downloads.

You need the Liveload SCT software if it's an X2 not SCT device updater which is for X3 and later models

Link
http://www.sctflash.com/showdeviceupdates.php?PNID=9400&DTYPE=

You want the one that is 3rd down. LiveLoad software, download the .exe file and open it.

1) Open program, it will say Connect SCT X2
2) Plug X2 in, then click Browse to select your custom tune ( take it from your email and place it on your desktop, it should be a .cef file
3) Select 1,2,3 line on Liveload, the X2 can hold up to 3 custom tunes at once, make sure to rename them so can recognize difference between the 3. If just using one tune, just put it in Line 1
4) Click on Add button, this will load it on the X2

And far as checking to see if its unlocked or not, go to Device Info, scroll to bottom and see if it says Aftermarket, Stock, or Unused

Aftermarket = Locked
Unused = Unlocked
Stock = Half locked but can be fixed using the Liveload program

Trust that helps!

What do you mean it is ready but no icon? Did you download Liveload? Any version of the Liveload should work. The only thing it means about going back is the 9415 series X2 has preloaded generic tunes from SCT and the 9400 is custom tune. But that shouldn't matter since you are loading a BBR tune.

If all else fails, call SCT tech tomorrow at 407 774-2447 and they can walk you through it.

First, hook it up to your car to make sure it is unmarried. SCT software can be a pain in the ass. You have the device updater shit installed correct? Try uninstalling it and all of the drivers. Then reinstall everything.
