Wow-wow-wow!. DBR is literally 2 minutes from my house. Don't take me as a jerk, but I live in a General Motors factory town. I've always assumed that DBR catered to GM cars. I always see high dollar Vettes, Grand Nationals, Camaros etc in the parking lot. I have zero evidence to back my thoughts up but I'm scared to death that the owner/tuner doesn't know ENOUGH about Mustang 3v performance. Maybe I'm overly cautious. Maybe I'm ignorant to the fact that DBR has tuned plenty of Mustangs with Fore return style dual pump systems running E85 pushing 20lbs of boost at 700 plus rwhp. But I don't want to take my baby to a "we do all brands" shop. I want to take it to an exclusive Mustang shop where tuners/owners talk Mustang performance in their sleep. The only other closest place is Delk Performance out in Lebanon TN. About a 30 minute drive. He is a Mustang shop. But...we got to talking today about tuning for E85 and the tuner gave me zero confidence in his ability. He was trying to get me to figure out what injectors I needed for it lol! Me? Hell, your the tuner lol! WTF?

Again, my ignorance talking, but the "best" tuner I know of is 4 hours away in Atlanta. Was just hoping I could find someone closer that's all. No offense to anyone.

Tim,

You have a PM.

Terry

I agree Bruce. This build with E85 is beyond what Brenspeed and Brent "wants" to do. IMO, Brenspeed likes to stick with "package" type kits. Kit's that are quick bolt ons with high reliability for the average enthusiast. Don't get me wrong though, they are an AWESOME shop and the quality and customer service is bar none! Period. Now that my stroker is stripped down for my new F/I, I combed over every inch. Not one oil leak, coolant leak or anything after 1k plus miles now. Intake valve ports and valves look great as well.

I appreciate you guys chiming in.
Tim ...

Brenspeed (Brent White) as many of us know sticks to what he is comfortable with.

In your situation another tuner would be a better idea I think.

Terry

I'm pretty sure Ken can/could tune coyotes prior to his partnership with John Lund. He's been tuning modulars successfully for quite some time.

Lund does exist, I have seen him in person several times. I even spent the night at his house once. I woke up and my IQ had went up 20 points.

:)

Lund racing is hands down the best tuning company out there. Ken who pissed me off when he left Cincinnati, is one of the best tuners out there imo. Jon lund the same. These 2 coming together under one roof per say was about the best combo / smartest idea I've ever seen from a tuning business.

We can set you up with a remote Lund tune as well, but as ken said, you have a Lund supported shop right in your back door. That's where I would go.

Yeah Terry I spent quite a bit of time on the phone the other day with David who is the owner of DBR Performance here where I live. Turns out David not only owns three Mustangs but he's had a good remote tuning relationship going with Jon Lund. David has me feeling less apprehensive about remote tuning now. He explained everything where its starts as simple as idle datalogs, low, mid and wot throttle logs done carefully in that order. Sometimes I "assume" when I see a lot of GM' cars out there at his shop that they don't know anything about Mustangs but I was wayyyy wrong. It just happens that I live in a GM factory town so naturally your going to have the big boys with deep pockets over there with their toys. Anyhow I think I'm going to give them a shot in a few months when I'm done with my new F/I build.

BTW, thanks for the best deal on the planet on the ID 1000's and Fore Level 4 return setup! Your the man!
