Right on! Fresh out of the printer. Wonder what this fits?

That's looks pretty nice. What's it run at the track? Lol
That replaces the DIY CAI for the CJ TB and intake? Like all those abbreviations? Lol

NHRA Records are listed by drivers because their cars change. These records are for who's car is faster, not who is a better driver. Casper running 11.60 tells me JPC is a driving son of a bitch and w the right driver the car is faster period. If you want to bushwack, make the trip for mineshaft and lay it down on his home track and show them how it's done. Anything else is just diarrhea mouth. Records aren't average of consistency. He can drop to 12's and the record is still his.

.

JPC can drive? Its an auto. Not a lot of driving to do.

its about we gutted it like crazy. But when he runs it its slower cause its not on the jpc diet.

Correct, for CJ IM/TB. Same size/shape as the TB, 4.5" at the filter end. Degas bottle intrudes, hence the relief on a portion of the OD of the bend.

I didn't even know it was an auto. But one guy can't complain because someone else was willing to gut theirs farther than you gutted yours ya know? All while running lighter than most people and trying to talk shit to full weight street cars

Edit... Moving to PMs

You should have left it.

No, what that means is JPC was running a gutted car in mineshaft conditions. It's an auto so accodring to you driver makes no difference.

They hold the record. It will be reclaimed.

If you're going to split hairs like you are accuracy might be important. Comparing dyno numbers from different dynos is uncool. But stirring shit over a few pounds with parts measured on different scales while one being an uncertified walmart special, TOTALLY legit.

I guess you missed it as I used the same scale to measure the weight differences. When Kelly decided to make a point of my k-member must be special because it weighs more I put that to bed. He isn't making the right measurement regardless of scale used. UPR may not be either. Maybe Sharad can "weigh" in on their numbers.

What we do know is a non-vendor, un-biased measurement was performed with the UPR product showing a 28lbs. weight savings over stock.

CPRsm said:
Let me see if I get this right. Correct me if I'm wrong. When I'm happy with a mph baseline to verify what a car made on the dyno, MPH doesn't mean a thing to you. ET is where it's at. But when a car is faster than your ET, suddenly MPH is good enough to use for some obscure record in your signature? :hi:
You also compare a 3900lb street car mph to a 2800 racecar. But don't compare yours to the same car, because it's a 2800lb racecar. It's different says you. :handjob:

But now when you are arguing all the sudden their car is "heavy." Only when it's compared to your car does their racecar become 2800lbs.

Bottom line even in great conditions casper gt's car hasn't topped the MPH mark we put down. Quicker yes, faster no.

Let's talk standing mile for a minute, you don't reference a car running that event by how quick it made it to the end do you? No, you reference the car by how fast it went. Pretty clear.

Same can be said about the turbo car you ran at the track, it is faster than my N/A car.

Regarding the coyote stock car JPC put together, yes I made reference to it in another discussion simply as a MPH comparison between the turbo car you ran and their N/A combo poking at you.

I want to see your stuff run 140+ and I know you are working on some auto builds that should get there. When you hit that mark I will give credit where it is due.

CPRsm said:
Don't act so special because you have a box of tools. You only bolted on parts to your car and someone else tuned it. You bolted on a bunch of parts someone else spent the money and more difficult task of designing from SCRATCH(most times.Your Kmember not included.) So the only part of your car which really required any thought process was done by someone else. You shouldn't belittle people because they have less space to work on cars, less time, or more money than you.

There is nothing special about what I do in my driveway but I do it all myself. I pick and choose certain parts for certain reasons. I do my own suspension setup, install gears, converters, clutches, weld exhausts, change heads, cams, intakes, ported and polished heads, intakes, etc. and have done so for the past 17 years.

Not everyone does that. Some would rather pay others to do it. Personally I don't trust anyone else to do it like I want it done.

The funniest part about all this dumb shit was we have a totally normal debates and act like adults. Until I thanked Shaun for his help, then your tampon swelled. But, it's the same with you two. One starts an arguement and in rushes the other. So I guess it makes sense. Best part when I posted it asked Shaun how long before you two started talking shit to me because he and I get along. Predictably pathetic.

Let's get back to civil discussions.

Then do it. You're trying to discredit what they did because they ran faster than you. There are no astericks on records. If you ran faster than them you wouldn't be listening to any complaining of mineshaft air.

Bottom line even in great conditions casper gt's car hasn't topped the MPH mark we put down. Quicker yes, faster no.
Doesn't matter. Mph is only an indication of power to weight. Mph doesn't win races. But again mph is only important when it applies positively to your argument/record.

Let's talk standing mile for a minute, you don't reference a car running that event by how quick it made it to the end do you? No, you reference the car by how fast it went. Pretty clear.
Who in the shit is talking about the standing mile? We're talking about the 1/4mi where ET wins no matter if the other guy was 50mph faster. If we were talking about the mile then MPH would be the be all. But we're not nor were we at any time talking about the mile. Pretty clear.

Unless you're "misleading" record is actually taking about the mile and not 1/4mi mph. In that case I stand corrected. But you keep referring to Casper and he hasn't run the mile so,....?

Regarding the coyote stock car JPC put together, yes I made reference to it in another discussion simply as a MPH comparison between the turbo car you ran and their N/A combo poking at you.
And what was the point? That it takes more power to run the same MPH in a car that weighs almost 1000lbs more? Did anyone not know that? At least my comparison was the same stock engine in two light weight cars. Dumb, but I only made it to show you how utterly pointless YOUR initial comparison was.

I want to see your stuff run 140+ and I know you are working on some auto builds that should get there. When you hit that mark I will give credit where it is due.
if it's inevitable why run your suck? Again I didn't see you talking shit in anyone else threads after their first shake downs.

And? If it's nothing why bad mouth someone who doesn't have time or knowledge? That's like saying I'm better than you becasue I can weld circles around you. Just pointless.

Not everyone does that. Some would rather pay others to do it. Personally I don't trust anyone else to do it like I want it done.
again if that's your prefference why bag on them? You header or kmember manufacturer doesn't bag on you because you didn't have the skill to build those parts. Maybe I'll start with the shit talking because I can do it and you didn't.

Let's get back to civil discussions.

UPR
CPRsm would do himself a favor to tell everyone how the 2013 k-member is different than the 2011-12 k-member. More asshattery on his part.
Sure, whatever you say. You let me know when you're done looking to stir shit up and make dumb comments. But keep poking if you want, I can pound on you all day long. I'm not the guy who will let you run your mouth unchecked because I own a company.

wbt, just to let you know, since I guess I have to spell it out precisely:

We do not weigh the stock K-Member with the A-Arm Support Brace attached. This could very well be the crucial element here, but we will NOT tell our customers that they are saving an additional XXX lbs, because we are forcing them to remove a part that we also offer, and MOST people choose to run with our set-up.

I am perfectly fine with you disagreeing about what we/I do here at BMR, it does not bother me, but expressing it in the manner that you are, I do not appreciate.

You are right, we tell people incorrect weights. We tell them they are saving less than they really are. We tell them our K-Member weighs 27lbs and the stocker is 45lbs, for a savings of 18lbs.

This should go in favor of UPR, and against BMR, correct?

I accept that, now let's move on.

Thanks

EDIT-Added Comment:

The OP should be getting his new K-Member any second now. Hopefully he posts some pictures of the beautiful crafted piece that it is. ;)

Yes I could have been more tactful.

As I mentioned before I am not sure how UPR came to their measurements. Whether it is in favor of or not, do you not agree it is important to compare weights against all parts replaced? Like-for-like if you will? That's all I am saying.

I agree partially, but I do not believe we should consider the A-Arm Support brace in our measurements. I think it is better to be ahead, then behind, meaning; if a customer replaces their front components with ours, and uses the AAS001 like most do....I'd rather him/her be happy that they saved what I said they would, then to save a significant amount less, because they chose to replace a factory part for a BMR part. (again, most people use our AAS001 in favor of the stock brace)

Apparentely UPR agrees with that, as they are claiming less as well for the factory K-Member.

You would probably understand my reasoning a little more, if you had to deal with it on a daily basis, by selling your own product to thousands of people across the globe.

When it's all said and done, the issue is that we do not advertise the K-Members with the moutning hardware, because they are a wash....and we do not advertise the weight of the stock K-Member, with the stock A-Arm brace.

Take it for what you will.

So, are you actually working at the UPR Facility these days, or from home?

I'd like to see the shocker do some battling.

Both. And that's how my S197 now has 136k miles on it. :(

Scott Boda is IN for the Pony Wars or NMRA BMP. You guys should get in on the action. (you or Al in your own BMR equipped vehicle)

Is this different from a 3D printer? I was planning on getting a makerbot for fun.

3D printing encompasses several different processes, different processes use different materials, even metals in some cases.
