Thanks guys!

Long story longer, my local dealership bought my base model 2015 GT from Mak Haik in San Antonio and sent 2 guys in a car hauler there to pick it up today. They weren't supposed to be back in town until late tonight after the dealership was closed and I would pick it up tomorrow. Something told me I should just ride by the dealership and "check" to see where they were with getting my car. The General Manager came out and told me he had some bad news. The car they went and got had a dent on it right above the rear wheel on the body line. He knew how picky I am and said if I wasn't 100% satisfied with the car, they would get me another one. I asked, where is my car at now? He said it's at the PDR place trying to get the dent out. I said how did it get there? He said we drove it there. I said I don't want it then. I asked if he had anything on the lot that we could work a deal on because I was ready to buy. He jokingly said "why don't you buy this one? (pointing at the 50th anniversary one on the showroom floor) He said, we are only about $5000 off aren't we? I said we are easily $10,000 off as this 50th is stickered at $13000 more than what I'm getting the base GT for. I jokingly in return said I will give you $5000 cash money right now for this 50th Anniversary car + my car. He said let me go talk to the owner. The owner comes out and shakes my hand and says I've wanted this car to go to a good person that would take care of it and I think you're the man. Give me $5000 and your car and we'll call it done.

I could NOT believe what happened!!!! I know ZERO about what ANY of the options are. They pulled the car off the showroom floor and EVERYBODY in the store came around the car. EVERY salesman said "I cannot believe he just let you have this car for that price!!!"

I shook there hands and drove off in the sunset! I don't even know how to adjust the A/C or change the channel on the radio station. I know nothing about what a 50th Anniversary GT is about. LOL

Got some reading to do about this thing.

It's getting a good washing in the morning though.:waytogo:

Difference between 50th anniversary limited edition (Wimbledon white or Kona blue only) and the 50th anniversary appearance package (all colors). The appearance package is only a 2k dollar option I think. Chrome accents and special wheels.

Yeah, what he ^^^ said.

Darren, congrats on the new car man, the 50th package is nice.

The 50th Anniversary cars though, they're different animals altogether, and the only model that comes with the cool "louvered" rear side windows.
Saw one in one of the 2 colors they come in at a local car show recently, it was in Kona Blue, and it was beautiful!

Now, do you have smear all over that black beast yet?

Thanks guys for the info!

So I just have a plain vanilla 50th Anniversary then. Bummer. I unmistakably thought all 50th Anniversay cars were "limited edition".

Must mean mines slow. I can't get a break!!!

Just washed it for the first time.

Conclusion: I'M GONNA HATE BLACK.
