Just bought a 2200sl kit used with 8 rib, 2.95 pulley, Jlt intake and some other goodies picking up id injectors this week too hopefully make some decent power on my 9.5:1 aluminator! Probably not honey badger power but still should be fun I hope! Gonna tune it for 93 for now with a bap hoping for 650-670...any of you guys think a snow kit would be a good idea? Not for drastic hp jump but as a safety net? Thanks!

Congrats on the kit! 2.95 is pretty aggressive for pump gas. Definitely going to be impressive power wise though.

Get Meth or race gas with that pulley and you'll see 800whp+ pretty easy.

On 14psi on 93 I only made 575 with a tvs blower which I sold in favor of the 2200...I had horrible belt slip and the iats were getting into the cause for concern area...I also have stoc manifold so I'm hoping the aggressive pulley will make up for the deficit of shitty compression ...

I'm not sure about the 2200, but the 1500 has a max impeller speed of 55000, and so does the 2000. So...with those 2 being at that point and cross referencing over to the v-3 si blower from vortech being at 52000. I know not the same as a 2200 but it gives us a reference point. With the stock crank, which I believe is 6.5 or 6.6" if you push a 2200 with the 2.95" pulley you will be spinning at a little under 60000. From what I understand this is a very bad recipe.

The paxton will pick up. Pick up a boss intake as well.

I made over 700whp on my stock engine with a 3.6 pulley and 93 with some ms109 splashed in on 11lbs. No headers just x pipe.

Not that numbers matter but how did u only make 575 at 14psi with the tvs.

Lmao yeah, the compression killed it...I wish I had access to e85 here...coffeeman made about 20psi on a d1 which is a tad smaller than a 2200 I believe 830 with e85...ill also be running the Jlt intake which I noticed a lot of guys making big power dont even use a filter to make extra...also doesn't the 2200 spin to 65k or is that a ysi? I think beefcake was running a 2.95 which made 16psi when he first had the jt trim which is a 2200 in vortechs brand...

Crank pulley is 6.65...with 2.95 pulley 6,800-7,200 ballpark with or/x 9.5:1 cr and Jlt intake should make 16psi or so and that's right around max rpm speed? Fml should have just gotten a ysi!? It's the sl I need to find outa lot of people making bigger numbers are using the oil fed kit which apparently makes more?

You will not be able to spin the ysi fast enough to really take advanatage of it with the stock pulley.

Everyone that has tried to use the YSI hasn't had alot of success compared to the JT / 2200.

Well, until last week when we went to FL! :)

The YSI is useless on the stock crank pulley compared to the 2200/jt, unless you have a well built engine, aftermarket big stuff or something, to spin the car to 8500.

We are working on a pulley package that makes the YSI a useable blower however. I knew what I thought it would take to make one work, and it was successful.

The 2200 can gt you real close to the 8's!

bigriff85, i'm in the same boat. couldn't push the TVS high enough so I got my kit from beef, 2200sl. i'm on 9.5cr as well but will be using the 3.1 pulley on pump gas. hope i reach at least 700rwhp or i'll be pissed lol.

still breaking in the engine and solving little kinks here and there, will keep you guys updated once it's all done.

On the 2010 I used a 12% larger crank and the 2.6 Reichard racing pulley so I agree with the stock crank statement.
