Well it's terrifying. 1st and 2nd rev like I lave the clutch engaged from 4000 to 7500 under anything over 1/2 throttle.

Definitely going to have to get some slicks and friendlier gears than 3.73s for the track.

All in all, it's perfect.:onfire:

Sweet! Kind of scary and fun at the same time eh? Congrats and enjoy!

Words of advice. Doublecheck your Coolant hose clamps on the hose that was extended and rerouted. I had one come off today and dump all my coolant in 2 seconds. Was stuck at the side of the road for an hour.

I need wider tires. Mine break loose at the top of 3rd. 1st and 2nd a a joke now.

I've lost my coolant too, but for a different reason and your story reminded me of it. I was going to my nephew's birthday party about 10 miles from my house and about 1 block before I arrive my car starts to overheat and I smell coolant. I immediately pulled over and called my bro in law and while talking to him a rabbit pops out of the engine! I hang up with him because I got to get a pic before he runs off. I can't believe he survived the trip. It looks like he was hiding in the valley under the Boss intake and when he tried to get out, he popped off a coolant hose. I reconnected the hose, filled the coolant back up and all was fine.

Haha smart rabbit! He knew how to get you to stop. I have a very slow coolant leak. Everything is pointing toward it coming from the plastic reservoir but I can't find the spot it's coming from on the tank.

More than likely it's coming from the reservoir tank. Mine leaked from the front seam. I replaced it with the Canton aluminum tank. JPC sells one as well but it's about 50 bucks more. I paid $149 for the Canton. I would replace it if I were you, for one, it looks better and also for piece of mind.

Ok thanks I think I will. Did the Canton one mount in the same spot as the plastic one? I was hoping to be able to keep my strut tower brace on and remove the cap.

I had the plastic one came with kit. It leaked. Paxton sent me a new tank it leaked. They sent a 3rd tank. And it leaked as well. So I went on summit and ordered one. Used high temp paint to make it black.

So are all of you not happy with the canned vortech tune? I was considering using it for awhile until I figured out who I was gonna get to do a custom, and was hoping it was gonna be an easy DD tune thats nice and safe for the time being.

From what I have seen is its a very safe tune. Its fine for DD but it leaves a lot power on the table.

Lund has a great safe tune for the vortech ... mine has been great ..wasnt going for max power wanted a good safe daily 93 octane tune when i had mine installed. Its been super reliable and plenty of power for a daily street car
