So guys, do you think I can hit my 700rwhp goal safely on the 3.1 pulley ?

Keyword is safely  I popped a motor too lol..

I'm getting it tuned soon. Will probably be going with Lund.
Your on a built engine now right? You can make 700 whp with out the 3.1. Pushing a stock block to 700whp is never safe.

Built engine yes. L&M spec diamond pistons 9.5 compression, Manley H Beam rods w/ ARP2000 and total seal rings.

I'm using the 3.1 because of the lowered compression, Terry said I should be close to 700 with that pulley. I've been advised to lower the compression since I can't get E85 and will be on 93 octane the whole time.

Yes with lowered compression should be around 700. Throw race gas in it and drop a couple more pulleys.

Just Another 700whp DD 5.0

People are running without the filter, but it was designed for use with one so I will keep the filter on mine.

With or without filter. Either way will do. It won't hurt it without, and I even advise changing the valve to a bigger one as I think the kit is undervalved from the start. They skimped on it to save money and make the kit cheaper.

What would you recommend switching to?

I highly recommend the TiAL Q valve with the supercharger spring. The valve that comes in the kit is too small and flutters. Fluttering may sound cool to some, but with each flutter is pressure on the turbine in the blower, which is bad joojoo.

Stock Paxton kit valve, flutter

Replaced it with a TiAL Q valve, no flutter, plus badassery points
