Well, technically, today, Ron is the fastest manual car as HDMINIUM switched to an auto and ran in the 10 teens---but he never posted the faster slip, and he did run what is listed now as a manual, so it is staying for now.

What does a bone stock s197 GT manual with a cold air intake and 91 race tune roughly run in the quarter with stock wheels?

I just recently got hit with the "GO FAST" bug and I have been wanting to go to the drag strip and was curious as to what I should expect to put out.... The only reason I haven't gone yet is that I need a set of track wheels... the 20" wheels = fail in racing so Im not gunna go until I have a decent set of track wheels/tires and some lca's and adjustable uca... I shold have done this stuff when I lowered the car... but oh well.... Ill get under there and wrench away again.

What does it take to get a N/A car in the 11's anyways? weight loss diet for the car, lol?

to run 11's in a n/a s197; heads, cams, headers and the other usual bolt-ons. suspension. a good set of tires, I would guess slicks most likely(is it possible with dr's). and good driver

dang... thats alot of work for 11's.... I guess a SC really does do wonders on these cars, eh.... I keep trying to convince myself I don't want a SC because of all the extra things you need after putting in a SC and so much stuff that breaks down.... but this damn "go fast" bug that hit me is just flat out deadly, lol... and Im hooked.... I have a decent suspension that just needs a few parts to finish it off.

But im starting to smell a vortech in my near future, lol..... is it absolutley necessary to run a intercooler on a low psi setup... its pretty much cold here in BC year round.

i have seen 13.5 in almost stock form and street tires... I have heard (but don't know if it's true) of 13.2 in stock form...




also i would like to put my 2cents in on this site... "i love it" great people great help it's just what i want in mustang site. and there isn't a lot of BS or shit talking (personal attacks) Thanks to the guys who keep this up and going...
