K Member Brace with Torque Limiters for an AUTO?

I have been looking into this brace for my Automatic tranny'd GT:

Im wondering if there are any advantages for an AUTOMATIC going with this piece vs. leaving the stock k-member and installing a set of prothane motor mounts?

does the CHE K-member give any reduction in weight? I know the BMR K Member brace drops 20lbs off the front but is like 3 times the cost of this piece.

Also, this might be a stupid question, but what the heck is a torque limiter? Someone explain it to me.... my thinking is its just like a motor mount.

I have no idea if there is any advantage to it or not. But I had them on my standard and when I converted to auto I put them back on.

Point of the limiters is to stop the trans from torquing while you are trying to shift. Reason we have this problem really is because of the linkage shitty ass shifter. Plus the motor wont rock back and forth.

dont need it for an auto if antyhing you are adding weight.

So if I went with the BMR K member with motor mounts, and shave the 20 lbs for like $500, would this be my best bet?

Is 20lbs difference worth the extra ~$350 (figure the MM's cost about $150), or should I just install the prothanes which I already have? lol

Exactly I wouldn't bother getting them for an automatic.

I was going to say if anything I'd go with the bmr k-member and thats it. But if you already have the prothanes not much point unless you want that weight savings.

Its a relatively easy install for the BMR k-member brace, right?? I'd be able to do it on jackstands in the driveway with handtools, yes?
