Wouldn't it be easier to launch with a centri since there isn't as much low-RPM boost? (Sorry if my question is stupid; I do corner carving, not drag racing.) :dunce:

You are right on my friend. I guess it would also matter your combination.

I went with an f1 for 2 reasons. 1 I live with shitty DA. And 2 I'll never have to upgrade blowers.

Also I'm running a stock clutch and trans.

I also like the procharger because it has a dedicated drive belt.

Stock clutch!!! Holy shit lol

And im thinking the d1 will be okay for me in east tx

And I agree about launching with the centri that's why im leaning this way, but I also believe it will take the right gears, I think 4.30s will be to steep for me for the quarter

Ive only made a few passes had some major traction issues. Haven't made a full pass yet. My best mph was 126 and I had to get out of it

And how does your wastegate work on the procharger, do you run the smallest pulley possible and manage it from there? Or is it simply to turn the boost down and you run the desired pulley for the max boost you want

I would assume it is to run a small pulley to build peak boost quickly I.e. lower rpm then use a waste gate to control peak boost into your target range 12psi or whatever, on the flip side since your bleeding boost you could like a turbo turn up the boost at the track without a pulley change.

OK here t o bust balls again. But guess they hiding now since they are not commenting they are the Highest HP 5.0 In the Country. Yet the HAve all over there website. Anyway Sean Kelley just ran a low 9 sec 1/4 with his 5.0. Few tweaks and next week will shot to break EVO's record. He also stated he is over 1000whp. So looks like he beat BBR also.

I run an inbetween pulley. You dont wanna run a supper small pulley because you end up working the blower to hard.

Did you get the kit with injectors, pump, and tune?

No, I bought the tuner get, then bought injectors, bap, and tune seperate.

What about this new roushcharger, I hear good things, anyone running one?
I have seen all good with them. They seem to be doing just as good and better then the KB/Whipple ones. Still seems the fastest 5.0's though have Centri blowers on them. Sean Kelley just went 9.2@151. First 5.0 to trap over 150. He is making a few changes and will shoot for EVO's time. HIm and EVO also ran nitrous with there setups. He is still on stock auto tranny and stock suspension. Still full weight also.

there is a guy at a local track that went 10.1 with a roushcharger on 12 psi he had the stock looking airbox, and exhaust, everything else bone stock other than drag radials and it was an auto

And as of right now Im going to buy a forged shortblock, after i have it done i will drive it without boost and break it in good while i save money and decide on what form of fi i want

I love the procharger
but the roushcharger seems like it maybe a good idear lol
