I did a search on Convertible rear body braces and nothing came up so should I figure that the question was never brought up? Or should I ask it and see if I get beat up for it.

It’s been done. But not in a long while. I did a thread on it about 12-13 years ago.

Frankly, IMO, added bracing isn’t needed in these cars.

As a FIY when searching, many times one has to alter the search string to use words that you may not generally think of.

Actually the forum died when Shaggy bought it...

but finally a thread worth reading. I sure miss the good ol' days when roasting a know-it-all idiot was encouraged.

Was waiting for a post like this and of course its Taxman that makes it. Pure gold! Good to see you again Taxman! How's that acreage home?

If it's worth even trying to make a suggestion, it's that the advertising needs to stop hogging bandwidth. I'm apt to have the site stop recognizing keystrokes mid-word. That already holds my participation down (at 3000 posts as of this one, I do have a fair amount of time and effort invested). I can't imagine that being something that would have a newbie continuing to come back, most would cut their losses at a single digit number of posts.

Norm

Not sure what advertising would help you finish a word or sentence??

Nobody expects a forum based on an outdated platform to survive. It's a fucking miracle it's still up, and only is because Shaggy will try to bleed every fucking penny out of this forum that he killed. Still mad at Kimmer for selling out.

So you think this place would be rocking and rolling if I never bought it and Kimmer still owned it? What makes you think that?

As far as searching old threads, unfortunately a lot of info was lost during the transition to the new forum format. Several years of posts never made the switch so they are lost forever. And unfortunately it kind of sticks a fork in the idea of telling newbies to search. As a result of that, we end up having to deal with jackasses like the two who have dominated this thread for the last couple days.

I've had enough drama for a while. Time to check out for now.

Nothing was lost. All the old threads are still here. Maybe an issue with the search not indexing them right, but there were no threads lost in the move.

This place is great, deserves promotion. S197s, esp 3v's, are are now landing in the hands of kids since they are all worthless. It's similar to when fox bodies got cheap and I bought my 86. Changed me as a person!! No reason to be glum.
Kids aren't on facebook btw... lower engagement. It's mostly boomers bleating about trump and immigrants if I understand it correctly.

Dow has increased 56% in just 3 years. I'd say Trump is doing something right.

Whoopty dooo. The Dow is up. Great. There's no extra money in my pocket over 3 years ago. As far as the supposed increase in the economy, if it's tangibly better, that's great. But there's a lot more to this country than just business. This country is more hostile toward my wife and kids than it was 4 years ago (before Trump) and that means more to me than the economy.
