How are they at the "expense" of performance if they make better numbers than stock. You said the CMS max out the stock springs at .470, right? The Hot Rods are also 12mm, or .472 inches.
You go back and forth in your argument. First you say you'll get power gains, now you're saying it's made for sound at the EXPENSE of performance.
Fact of the matter is in the same N/A car, same dyno, same conditions, I highly doubt your CMS cams would make more than 5-10rwhp more than the Hot Rods. IMO, the sound is worth the 5-10 potential hp - that's not ricer. Pulling a vacuum line to have a "lope" at idle is ricer.
