For me its simple, if there is no effect on cooling and less under the hood temps then that is a plus IMO.
So your assuming you have less underhood temps from doing this? Thats what I was wondering.
I can do before and after testing on this then I am intrigued now. However I think its a real eyesore removed personaly so im not sure I would want to leave it off if it really does help underhood temps at all. I suspect itt might since that air isnt being heated my the radiator prior to entering the engine bay, and as long as your radiator fan can pick up the slack it should be ok and not notice a difference, the fan normaly doesnt run when driving/cruising anyway so I can see the fan easily picking up the slack if it needs to.
