Craftsman makes this aluminum low profile jack, a buddy of mine has one, it rolled right under my car with steeda ultralights, I was shocked because i usually have to put the 2x4's for it to clear.

1 ton is equal to 2000 lbs. 1.5 = 3000. It should be ok, but its always better to have alittle more lifting capacity.

That craftsman one got shit reviews. Its funny that this thread is here because I was just looking at jacks today. I got a low profile craftsman last year for Christmas and that piece didn't make it a year. Luckily they took it back because I had the receipt and I didn't have it a full year.

I wanted one for my garage that would go under the car without any additional help of ramps and such. I wasn't worried about weight as it stays at home so I got the Omega 29023 and it's a great jack.

Harbor Freight is really weird, they have posted prices but when you get to the register the tool is like 20% cheaper than it is suppose to be. I love that store, the tools are not amazing quality but they do the job.

I've bought 3 harbor freight floor jacks. They were all complete trash. I would never buy a floor jack from that place again.

Interesting. I've got the same jack and it won't go under my car on Steeda Sport springs. I've been using it for two years, putting it through the paces, lifting tons of stuff within and right at it's limit. No problems with it at all.

i use this one when im working on heavy machinery. easy to carry, super light. had it for 4 years and its still going strong.

I bought that jack. First time I used it, I took it back because it would not hold pressure. The second one I got leaked. Never bothered with getting a 3rd one.
