Before I started the transmission install, I decided to lower the engine in the chassis one more inch. I also had to somewhat modify the trans tunnel to gain enough shift linkage clearance. That's ok though because I knew that going into this project. I plan to just box it in and put the new tig welder to work.

This thing really shifts amazing.

I went to modify the shifter handle today only to find out that it's made out of titanium. It seems these Nascar people make everything they can out of this stuff.

Guess it wont be ready for dyno day this saturday then...dang...was hoping to hear the beast run.

Nope. Once again, I am behind schedule. I did get the crossmember mod done though.

I picked up a new associate sponsor today. It's nice to have the financial and parts support from great companies like Randy's.

I Have a few other associate deals in the works and a few primary's as well.

Good deal. Congrats Marc. So how's the car coming?

Slow. I came down with the flu last week and it stopped everything. Actually, it might have been malaria, the black plague, or some sort of zombie virus. Just getting over it now. I hope to have everything except the headers finished by the end of this week.

Sorry to hear that. I've been fighting something myself for the past week. I finally went to the doctor yesterday and got some meds. Feeling better today fortunately.

Wtf Marc you seem to always be sick. Glad your not a zombie or Matt would probably kill ya.

I used to never get sick. Last year, my gallbladder turned into zombie goo and had to have it removed. Now, it seems that I catch every bug that's airborn. Ask Bruce, being 50 has it's drawbacks.

FWIW the zombie antidote is contained in a flu shot. Big conspiracy.

I should have gotten a flu shot but didn't. I tend to put health related things off until it's too late.

I just finished the mechanical throttle linkage. I used a pedal and cable assembly out of an 85 Mustang GT. I had to heavily modified it so it would bolt onto the factory throttle pedal studs. I also wanted it very close to the brake pedal. I built it so when the throttle is at idle and the brakes are depressed, they are at the same height. This will be helpfull for heel and toe downshifts.

Matt and I just finished installing the new positraction, gears, bearings, yoke, and axles that Randy's Ring and Pinion provided.
