48lbs is a good amount of weight taken off.
The wrap is getting close to being done. At the last minute Seibon came through with free carbon fiber doors, trunk, and a hood. So, this put me behind schedule. The wrap guy cut my numbers out of the door wrap so that my car numbers are the carbon door material. He still has to outline the numbers in yellow, put the stripes on the roof, wrap the rockers and rear valance.
Even though my OEM doors were completely gutted, the Seibon doors were 48lbs lighter for the pair.

What is the latest weight of that beast now Marc?
I finally finished everything on my to do list. It's fueled up with Trick 114, 20 quarts of fresh Joe Gibbs engine oil, and the antifreeze has been replaced with distilled water. Toyo sent me four 295/35/18 Proxes 1 tires to use in the rain. They developed this tire for the Porsche GT2 and GT3 and they have had great feedback from the Porsche racers in wet conditions.
If the weather is decent this Sunday, I will be out testing on the rain tires instead of the Toyo RS1 slicks. I will post some video if it happens.

/\ yea, you'll run he rain tires in the dry? that will kill your times
Still street legal?
Those tires look good. They look similar to MT comp tires.
Yeah, but I guarantee they grip a whole lot better. My Mickey Thompson Street Comps were ok the first 3-4 months but now they are like driving on bowling balls. Need to swap them out before I kill myself.
Marc, I take it that Toyo is still sponsoring you. Did they sponsor you during your drag racing days too or was it just for road race?
I still have license and insurance on it and I drive it on the street. Technically, it's not legal to drive on the road because of the engine and lack or emissions equipment, but I don't care.
I like this Marc!! Hop to see that thing fly again in July at the round up.
I will bring it to the Round Up, but I probably won't run the car. Since they implemented the no passing rule on the back straight, it wasn't much fun last year. Hanging out and talking to people is a good time though. Look forward to seeing you.
