I have no idea what tires I'm looking for though since I want something that can also be driven on the street.

I'd rather do this than go to OC. I'm going to need all the guidance I can get though with my first time at the track haha.

There is plenty of experience to help you out, that is one of the good points to a private track rental, you can make all the mistakes there and not care.
