Can i run a meth injection kit with e85 to make up for a slightly underperforming fuel system? Current setup is walbro 400, 80LBS injectors and BAP( turbo application)
The kit would be farless expensive than upgrading fuel system. Pump gas and meth is scary in the sense if the meth kit fails it'll result in a catastrophic even.

They have fail 'safe guards' for a failed water/meth system. Some have green /yellow /red multi colored leds to indicate water /meth level, via floats.

Are you converting from gasoline to e85? If you're currently close to the limit on gas you will push it over the edge with e85 flow requirements. People mainly use meth for the cooling effect. If you need extra octane use there is E98 for that.

As for meth systems failing on a gasoline setup, there should be failsafes (timing retard) built into the tune, or some external controller that prevent damage.

I was previously running E85 with a positive displacement setup. The new setup is a built turbo application. Im uncertain of the threshold on a returnless fuel system but im assuming 800+ horsepower wont be accomplished with my current setup. I just want to avoid the cost of new injectors/pump/rails. Building the motor and transmission was way more expensive then i had anticipated.

What's the saying? Never enough time or money to do it right the first time, but plenty of both for the second time around.

Like mentioned regardless of fuel used if you rely on meth for extra fuel and there is an issue it will be just as catastrophic. Wont change the fact either that if you max the pump your going to loose rail pressure and injectors are going to stop providing the correct amount of fuel, which is even worse even if your spitting in meth.

I would advise to start building the fuel system if your serious about those power goals. First off I would upgrade to the walbro 465lph which flows better and is specifically for e85 over the walbro 400lph, keep the bap of course. Thats about as much power as you can get on a budget. From there next best upgrade is line filter rails. Makes a huge difference when moving the increased volume with e85. Those mods will drop pump duty cycle 25-30% at this level. A power wire relay upgrade to the bap is needed if you don't have one already, for the 465 and a bap I would go to 8awg.

On a personal note, I would start off easy on the new setup, keep it around 550-600rwhp and get used to it first before going all out, its going to be a whole new ball game from the old m90 setup.
