it's very rewarding, watching them grow and excel at things is great, Saturday we had 50* weather, my son and I were out throwing the baseball around for 30 mins or so, pure joy for me.Having kids seems very rewarding, at least from the outside looking in, I really have no idea. I’m sure it’s one of the “the grass is always greener” things. It’s probably a lot like being self employed. Rewarding, but it keeps you up at night.
Not very many people in the real world get to have their cake and eat it too across the board. I don't know anyone who does.
I'm probably tighter than I need to be with money, but knowing all the expenses yet to be paid and hoping to retire (then really enjoy the toys) keeps me in check
Gulp!
And I think I spend a lot on vet bills and dog food! I retract that thought.

Damn, makes me not want to have kids.
I pretty much buy anything I want now.![]()
it's all about prospective.
Come on stkjock, it's like the toys... you never add it up! LOL If it makes you feel better, you set a good example for some us.
Thanks
You get to have someone to spoon feed you gerber and change your diapers when you're a cranky old 85 year old who can't remember what year it is any more.
I'll never make 85. Be lucky to make 70 based on my family history.

I'm still going strong and will be 69 this fall.
