Modding a 4.6 vs a Coyote

Having kids seems very rewarding, at least from the outside looking in, I really have no idea. I’m sure it’s one of the “the grass is always greener” things. It’s probably a lot like being self employed. Rewarding, but it keeps you up at night.

it's very rewarding, watching them grow and excel at things is great, Saturday we had 50* weather, my son and I were out throwing the baseball around for 30 mins or so, pure joy for me.

Not very many people in the real world get to have their cake and eat it too across the board. I don't know anyone who does.

I'm probably tighter than I need to be with money, but knowing all the expenses yet to be paid and hoping to retire (then really enjoy the toys) keeps me in check

And I think I spend a lot on vet bills and dog food! I retract that thought.

Damn, makes me not want to have kids.
I pretty much buy anything I want now.

Don't necessarily count on that! With my family histroy and working on the back side of the clock for 35 years, I thought I would never make 70. Although some parts are failing, I'm still going strong and will be 69 this fall.

Subject are the Coyote engines that much superior?

I ask because I'm really kind of to that point on my car, it has the Paxton Novi 2200SL H.O.

I say if the 08 is paid for build it.
My 08 was running 900 rwhp with a 8 rib novi 2200 motor was fully built Heads, cams, short block 9.5:1 cr etc. The only reason I have a Coyote is my 08 got totaled.. Yes the Coyote is a good efficient motor but its not as economical to swap.. H-Beams good pistons & arp fastners up the boost good dyno tune & call it a day.. Just my 2 cent's.

LOTS of good info in here, thanks to all of those who have contributed. 2 kids of my own BTW so I feel both that joy and that pain when it comes to money hahahah. My car isn't paid for but I owe less on it than it's worth. I never considered doing a coyote swap on mine, I entertained either building my engine or selling/trading mine in for a coyote. I would have to start from scratch on a new coyote but nothing wrong with that I guess, I enjoy toying with cars.
